How fast or quick are the SLC's?

According to Chevrolet 0-60 Times & Chevrolet Quarter Mile Times | Chevy Chevelle SS, C7 Corvette ZO6 0-60, New Camaro Z28 0-60, Tahoe and Chevy truck 0 to 60 stats! my Z06 is supposed to get 0-60 in around 3.6 seconds. Considering the SLC is much lighter, I'll be disappointed if it is not...

    AC hoses

I used the E-Z clip system on mine. You can get some of the fittings from Summit Racing, although as of a few months ago, they were still not listed online. I also came across an EBay supplier selling selected new fittings for about half of the normal new price.

    Oil Cooler

Is one 625 sufficient for an LS7, or are two required? I am planning to install the dry sump tank on the right side, which would not leave any room for a cooler by the right side scoop.

    Defrost Control

Hi Pete, Does your instrument panel/glareshield sit down far enough with the actuator mounted on top of the anchor or does it contact the actuator?

    LS/Graziano Engine oil Cooler Setup

Further to the above, I tried swapping the center motor mount brackets from one side to the other. Amazingly, this actually worked - they are symmetric. It looks like this has two benefits: 1) Eliminate the spacer and the torsional load it would apply to the bracket 2) Provide a lot...

    Battery box and location

Michael: I haven't built the battery box yet, but as DrDavid says, the box can be pretty simple. I'm thinking of bending some sheet aluminum to make a simple box in the general area that the ISIS instruction suggest. Note that Lithium Iron and Lead Acid batteries are not really directly...

    LS/Graziano Engine oil Cooler Setup

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I think I am going to be out of luck for using the ports above the oil filter. There is only about 1/2" of clearance to the motor mount. It looks like my only options are: a) Leave the ports above the oil filter capped as is and tap into the dry sump...

    LS/Graziano Engine oil Cooler Setup

I see some guys have used this oil cooler adapter: Lingenfelter GM LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7 Oil Cooler Adapter Kit - Lingenfelter Performance along with a remote thermostat like this one: Remote Oil Thermostat - -10AN Mocal Remote Oil Thermostat to run oil lines from the engine to an oil cooler...

    GM Air Intake Kit

By "put on", I assume you mean aluminum welding? I'm not set up for welding aluminum, so a bolt-on solution would be good. Based on the setup Alan is suggesting, it looks like the standard GM kit should work . . . (?)

    Battery box and location

Would something like this give you more options? Shorai LFX36L3-BS12 Lithium-Iron Battery - Free Shipping: BatteryMart.com Only 5 lbs battery weight (huge weight savings!) and only 6.6" x 3.4" x 6.1" in size. They are pricey, but are amazing batteries. I have been using one in another...

    slc Ls 376 and grazziano

Can anyone provide any advice as to Graziano transaxle oil coolers? i.e. How should they be plumbed and what kind of cooler/radiator is required? I have a dry sump setup and it looks like the best location for the oil tank is going to be in the space beside the right side air scoop, so...

    GM Air Intake Kit

Is anyone using the standard GM Air intake kit for their LS engine installation? e.g. 19301246 - Universal Air Inlet Kit Is there sufficient room under the street tail for this kit? With all the fresh air coming through the various inlets into the engine compartment, I am considering...

    Body Fitting

I angled my seat slightly and guess what? Fran was exactly right. It didn't take much of an angle to get the seat pointed straight at the steering wheel with the instrument panel centered behind it. No trimming of fiberglass necessary and it doesn't feel like I'm sitting at an angle.

    Body Fitting

The tub, body and instrument panel are now rough-fitted into position in preparation for positioning the steering wheel. I am really happy with the way the tub helps provides a more finished look to the interior of the car. Also, compared to other projects I have worked on, everything...

    Defrost Control

Thanks! I haven't gotten that far yet, but was planning to use some thin weatherstripping, with tapped and locktited mounting screws just outside the weatherstripping. . . . I just reread your post. I suspect you mean the connection between the anchor and the instrument panel? I haven't cut...

    Defrost Control

The SLC kit comes with eyeball vents for passenger heat/ac, which can be turned off to force all the air to go through the defrost vents. However, even with the vents fully open, some air will want to go out the defrost. I live in a part of the country where it can get warm and humid. This...

    Rear Coolant Lines Question

Further to the subject to cooling lines and routing: I am following the coolant scheme in the attached diagram, except that there does not appear to be a steam tube port on the radiator, so I am planning to simply "T" line 4 into line 14 in the engine compartment near the Pressure Bottle...

    Body Fitting

Les: Thanks for the tip, but if I had to do that to the body to fit my big head inside, I'd probably be better to just cut the whole roof off and make it a convertible! :) Thanks for the info, Fran. I have been away for a couple of days but will be getting back on it. I agree the tub really...

    Body Fitting

Thanks for all the comments, guys! I'm going to try setting everything at the height the factory intended and see how it works. I'm wondering if anyone can offer any suggestions or pictures on fitting the interior tub and body? Specifically, 1) Is it intended to trim the tub along the groove...

    Body Fitting

I am abnormally tall (my wife says that's not all that's abnormal), at 6'4", with a 36" leg. I am in the process of trial fitting my body into the car and found that with the factory supplied seat on the floor, I can obtain sufficient headroom by reclining the seat. However, this is without...
