Very interesting. Located in Homosassa, Florida and has had 3 owners. I agree, bare minimum.

For some reason I was dreading the thought of having to come up with the engine radiator hoses. The Coyote engine supply and return lines are on opposite sides than that of the radiator therefore the hoses need to be swapped in the engine bay. I first went to the local NAPA store/warehouse and...

Thank you Joel. Larry, I'm close but I'd like to design and fab the fuel tank inlet plumbing (similar to yours). Stay Tuned! Jim, your welcome anytime. Yes, please stop bay after Covid-19 threat is over.

When considering the exhaust system, there are so many options to think about – it’s exhausting (pun intended). The sound of a real GT40 is incredible with a “bundle of snakes” 180° exhaust system. For my build, I’m trying for the retro look and sound with modern hardware. Last...

I pulled the engine in January to install insulation on both sides of the firewall and finish the fuel pump mods. At the firewall window I added a second pane with a 1/8” air space in-between to reduce the amount of heat passing through. On the front side, I used Noico 80 mil black sound...

Larry, you received two 3/4" and one 7/8" Wilwood master cylinders with the GT-R kit, no new parts are involved. Since the GT-R does not have a build manual, we refer to the SLC. The SLC build info says to use a 3/4" for front, 7/8" for rear and 3/4" for clutch. This is incorrect for the GT-R...

Master Cylinder Swap I have the basic brakes (Corvette/Brembo) and the Graziano transaxle. Common thought is to use a ¾” master cylinder for the front brakes and 7/8” for the rear and ¾” for the clutch. Thanks to Rufus for letting me know the correct master cylinder configuration on the GT-R is...

I removed the pedal assembly to gain access to the foot well for insulation. This is a good time to install a Kenwood KSC-PSW8 compact powered subwoofer for the audio system. I found a piece of real estate above the tunnel behind the A/C unit. It’s up and out of the way.

No Larry, I haven't installed the hinges yet. Check out Rufus' post #44. He installed hinges and they came out great.

Larry, thank you for the offer but I already used the templates (I received from Rufus) and separated the hood from the front clamshell. I sent them onto Mike Hampson (after I made a copy of them). Thanks!

Fuel Tank Mod – Internal Pump See my post #48. My original design used a Fuelab fuel pump made for a carbureted engine. After talking to one of the Fuelab technical guys, I realized it would flow too much fuel and could actually pressurize the swirl tank and therefore provide back pressure to...

Good idea Larry, looks great! I didn't want to add any weight to the bumper since I'm hanging it off the rear clip.

I really like the look of the rear bumper with the diffuser and exhaust tips (my post #135). One issue I had was the bumper felt a little flimsy so I filled it with two part urethane foam. I covered the foam with a few layers of fiberglass to seal it. This gave it a solid sound and feel and...

OK, please don't hijack my thread. Joel, inCODE gets you the ability to update the code on your system. If you want custom functions and features you must send your changes to their tech team and they'll modify your code to your requirements. You then use inCODE to update the system. You can...

Hi Larry, The Infinity Box system was part of the car purchase. There was an issue between RCR and Infinity Box but they worked it out and I received my electrical system a year and a half after I took possession of the car. I like the Infinity Box concept, clean looking install and ease of...

My desired changes to the electrical system programing was first mentioned in post #136. I sent the desired changes to Jay Harris of Infinity Box and within a few weeks he sent me the updated code and reprogramming box. It took 5 minutes to upload the new program. Easy-Peasy. Thank you Jay!

That’s what is so great about this build, I’m learning and doing things I’ve only heard about but never experienced. Wheel alignment – after adjusting the shocks to give a good ride height I used the string method to set the toe-in and QuickTrick alignment tools to set the castor and camber. I...

What’s that smell? To capture the fuel vapors and add a layer of safety I installed a JAZ Products external fuel tip-over valve, a II MUCH VSR fuel vent and a II MUCH bulkhead fitting with a sintered bronze vent filter at the bottom of the vehicle. I machined a bracket so the II Much VSR fuel...

Hi y’all! Yes, I have been working on my car but haven’t posted any photos for a long time. It’s been a busy holiday season then all of our wonderful plans to go the LA County Air Show, Grand Prix of Long Beach, Chino Planes of Fame Air Show and the Indy 500 time trials were cancelled due to...

Hi Jim, I haven't posted in awhile but I'm making headway. I removed the engine/trans and worked on the fuel vent, reprogramed the Infinity Box, had a 180 deg exhaust built, modified the fuel tank with an internal fuel pump, relocated the oil cooler, sent the transaxle to Ron McCall for new...
