Trailer - Need Recommendations / Advice

I have a Haulmark 20'. Floor is painted the gray epoxy, E track down both sides of the floor where the tires track. Over the tire strap. Winch to back the roadster in using a strap on the roll bar hoop. Pretty bullet proof deal with the long door that opens from the top with additional...

    Four Post Lift Recommendation

Go to Purplewave.com which is an auction site. There are 4 brand new 2-post lifts just listed located in MN. Might be others listed also in different locations/configurations. If you are in USA.

Using Heim joints on fixed-width control arms.

Go to this website. You can make the pickups really close and when they are fastened there is enough 'give' in one side of the pickup point that there is no issue. Though the spacing is still critical 'between' the fore and aft pickups. These chassis were setup and welded to pretty close...

    Flange Choice for Exhaust Build

Use the one piece flange, set everything up and weld, then split the flange would be my process. 4 into 2 into 1 with the 1 being a very large muffler with 6" inlet/outlet and straight through if you could fit it. That will sound awesome and be surprisingly quieter then you imagine.

Ceramic Coating and O2 Sensor Install

I've found if those slip fit connectors leak any air you're just about up a creek without a paddle. I had to move my sensor to a primary.

    Tire straps?

That's what I use, except my straps have the attachments that go directly into the e-track. Works good for low ground clearance and places where you don't want to hook onto the chassis or parts.

    Exhaust sealent .

If the slip joints are good you can use grease for assy and disassy, makes it easier but grease is not a sealant. If the joints are sloppy use any 100% silicon sealer, you know the stuff they make hot pads and trivets out of. Can be kind of tuff to separate though.

    Rivnut material and strength

I have used the button head fasteners shown in Ken's pictures. I have come to dread using them. Not enough purchase for the allen wrench, so you have to be careful removing and installing. Plus the coating is not bad, but if you are anywhere close to salt water..... One of my cars used these...

    Vacume leaks

Sounds like an intake valve not closing/sealing. Even if the gasket was leaking there should be some vacuum, I would think. Do a cylinder leak down.

    Dean's GT-R build thread

Fire sleeve is rated different. Fire proof will withstand direct fire for 15'. Fire resistant is good for 5'. I run a brake line 2-3" under headers within same distance from engine without any problems with the good stuff. Of course it is 'under' the heat source. Take a piece of brake line...
