    LED for Shop

I just finished my shop, was looking at the LED's and wow $. Went with the T5's, Two Led's were equivalent to the cost of 7 T5's was the estimate I received. Have heard some good things about the LED's, the T5's are working real well, almost thought they were going to be too bright.

Looking for nice pictures of garages

Here's the floor of my new 40 x 60 all metal shop. Did a process that uses a densifyer on the bare concrete followed by sealer. The complete cost including tools and burnisher rental came to $11-1200 range with 4 man hour days or 32 hrs. of labor which includes cleaning. This is something...

    Financing an SL-C ???

I would think a VIN and proof of full coverage would be all the info a banker would need. Getting the full coverage on parts might be a little weird...

    SLC 24 Howard Jones

Nice work Howard. Going back to the brakes, maybe a little late for this thread, you can get the rotors from Coleman racing and they will do any work you feel required to them, like balancing, stress relief, cutting slots, etc. They also can set them up for t-slot fasteners so they float, a...

Shock Spring Rates and/or Length Changes

Actually QA1 double adjustable shocks are what I installed the 2 1/4" springs on. When the collars and cone are turned down they get a little thin on the shank portion.

Shock Spring Rates and/or Length Changes

Don't know if your shocks will allow it, but on a different unrelated setup I've switched from 2 1/2" i.d. springs to 2 1/4" to gain some clearance. If you are good with a lathe you can turn the collars down to fit the springs, or buy them if you can find them.

I've used double worm gear clamps on non beaded stuff and never had any come off.

Distributor gear on small block Ford

I will add that .040 hole seems rather large, I'd half that if possible, maybe use a brass plug to make the drilling easier. Don't see why a brass plug wouldn't work but might want to check with an engine builder.

Armando gt40 sump capacity needed urgently please

I've had two of them on a 351w, the partial sump used approx. 7 qts, I have another with the sump the full length, haven't installed it yet to check but expect 9 qts.

Distributor gear on small block Ford

there is an allen plug behind the distributor shaft, drill as small a hole as you can to spray oil onto the shaft. i believe mine came with a .040 hole, don't remember for sure.

    Cam change

I've read some of the knowledgeable engine builders say with the itb's like the webers one can use a 'bigger' cam, the cylinders are isolated so the reversion doesn't come into play as with a common plenum.

If you choose STJ you'll be in the center of 3 road course tracks--Hastings, Council Bluffs, and Topeka. Oh, and the LMP is exquisite! More pics!

Weber intake manifold and potential cooling issue

If you do the rear coolant exit, it doesn't take a very large hole. I have done with and without, using an electric water pump, I could view the coolant exiting the rear fitting, a .040 or .060 hole is plenty, can't remember the exact size I used. Tapped the pipe fitting and installed a plug...

    SLC durability?

I was always wondering if there was a heat treatment done to the chassis after it was welded, or for that matter if there was any welding on the chassis, I haven't looked at one close up or detailed pics. I'll throw this out there and hide under the banner....

    Cam change

cheaper yet if it is running good would be to alter the throttle opening vs. accelerator pedal movement, and maybe restrict the throttle opening.

    Wheel Camber Settings

I bought an old Hunter 'D' model alignment machine, think I paid around $600, one of the best tools I ever bought. If you have a lift it makes a nice addition, especially if you have rod ends instead of the softer bushings. I've found tightening the steering arms without allowing for the...
