gm tech on the shelf now did an ls9 cam upgrade to an ls3 engine and they were happy with the results, over 400 rwhp, that being the only change except for some springs things depending on your engine. i have heard the asa cam is good also, don't know how they compare.

fran, i am curious, not questioning the design. is a sway bar not needed, no place for one? i don't think i've seen them as standard on any of the ultra lites.

i have never heard of ballistol, and i did a lot of trapshooting with high end guns and tried a lot of metal protectants, some worked, some didn't. makes me wonder how this stuff would have worked. i might find some just to compare, all this stuff usually has a distinct smell.

on the pressure side, the water pump can make close to 16# of pressure, probably seen when the thermostat opens. so you have to cover this, plus the pressure increase through temperature, hence the 20-25# caps you are seeing.
