Here is a few plots that I find interesting and show the difference in HP/TQ using Sandy's test data and test data from my KC built 427W. First the torque of each:

Sandy Agree great numbers. Did they do any head work or are they stock? Any flow data. I am just curious how they stack up th the AFR 225's sence we are at about the same power. Gary

    Blowers - eg Vortech

On my car I do have the motor far enough forward that I do not think there would be sufficient room. Not sure if this is typical for others though.

[ QUOTE ] Gary - Your 427w made about the same hp, but a crazy amount more torque. I thought about it for a while (big cube motor) but I love the windy 331 high compression engine that is in my mustang and figured it would work even better (if built by KCR) in a 800lb lighter car Sandy [/...

    Blowers - eg Vortech

Part of the problem will be driving the blower because of space reasons. I mentioned before that Tilton makes clutch and flywheel systems that are made to drive accessories from the back of the motor. So you mount the blower backwards and drive it off the flywheel. Get a low profile unit and...

I will try to guess the weight. My 427 is 467 lbs. Now take out 100 lbs for the block (cast vs. alum) and ~~50 - 75 for the short vs. long deck and rods, etc. I am guessing 325 - 350 lbs. Wow!

Sandy, Good job. I am interested in knowing the weight of the engine as this should be one of the lightest possible (Dart Alum block and alum. heads, etc.) Could you have RCR weigh the engine when they get it. I assume they have car scales and it can be done on an engine stand. Then subtract...

    Mendeola transaxles

If you hunt around the site you can find drawings of most of their tranaxles. It look to me that they are loosing ~1.5" - 2" in the belhousing and the rest in the tranny part (with the large R&P gear spacing and rear shift section).

    GT40 Crash sequence..?

The car used was a CAV and was rolled in the first episode. Bob Lacey said that someone purchased the car and rebuilt it.

    Uprights needed

I think pic size is limited to ~100k. You need to resample/compress to get it under this limit.

    Mendeola transaxles

I am not 100% sure of the box it is based on, but think it is on the "S" line. It is something like 6" longer then a ZF.
