    GT40 at Willowsprings

No disrespect, your GT40 looks great in the video, but a GT3 in capable hands will not be "in the dust" and Olsen, if he wants, puts lap times in 996 GT3 Cup car territory with his '72RSR! In addition, I will say, kudos to you Randy, your 40 looks well sorted, obviously pulls hard on the...

    Maintenance

I have not had my half shafts off yet so I ask in curiosity, why can't the outer CV remain in tact, and from the inboard side of the shaft, the outer boot be slipped on first then the inner boot?

    What kit is this one?

The description identifies the use of a ZF trans like was used in 930 Porsche. I did not know that, learn something new every day!

    1965 spf gt40 sold

That's my sentiment too Mike! That’s because we’re smitten and have an emotional attachment to the damn thing. Looking at in sit in ‘my’ garage is much more appealing than looking at six figures on my bank statement or some sort of appreciating asset, that’s no fun! But true fact is, these are...

    GTD brake upgrade

One small suggestion if I may, I upgraded my original Tornado issue breaks to Willwood and if I were to do it over again I would opt for 4 pot calipers instead of 6 pot. Both function and fitment would've been better. Tim

    What color is "Shelby Blue"?

Pat, according to SPF order sheet this is "Gaurdsman Blue". On another SPF document I have it's identified as "Shelby Gaurdsman Blue" so go figure. Now, when I wanted to match the paint my research turned up more than one variant of Guardsman Blue depending on the model year and whose paint...

    Brake Line Pressure(s)

Keith, I'm not sure what would be typical because a lot of variables at play, i.e. M\C size, line size, bias settings, boosters vs non, pedal length, ect. Here are my readings, non-boosted and biased: Front 7/8" m\c Front bias med/max 600/1000 Mid bias med/max 500/720 Rear bias...

    SPF GT 40 Air Conditioning

^ what Dave suggest ^ I've done the windshield on a couple of my cars and love the results. I went with a light tint on the 40 and was truly amazed at the noticeable difference. For example, the black leather dash in direct So Cal sun is, without exaggeration, at least 50% less heat with...

    930 to G50/50

Steve, You could eliminate the slave cylinder and use an internal hydraulic release bearing. I'm kinda curious what flywheel you're using and starter (engine mount or trans mount)? Tim

    Pros/Cons

Bought my Tornado as a street registered running car, some 13 years ago, it is now on it's second 'frame off build' Three years of my SPF ownership has seen partial reassembly.......does it ever end? So Mike's suggestion isn't as ridiculous as it sounds, you'll be "building" the car from...
