Re: Cav GT40 for sale
^that's pretty funny Mike D^
Sold, Sold, Sold !!!
I live down the street from MikeW and his GT40's have all left the stable for some time now.

My G50 was built by Bobby Hart at CMS in 2004. I would love to give him more of my business but the thing won't break, 560 ft lb torque and still working like the day it was put into service. Side shift by CMS also works flawlessly.

Gary, You probably got mine. Haha. I ordered two GT40 covers 6 weeks ago but they're holding them, I hope, until I show up with my car to have them fit mirror pockets on them.
Calif Covers covers have always worked well for me. For the first time I recently ordered the Customweave for a...
Robert, I believe what Holley says about this unique devise and agree this is going to be an industry game changer. It's ingress and egress will be obtainable through relatively small openings if nessasary and the application will be infinite.
Not quite sure of it availability yet since it's...
I've used this with good results: Thermo-Tec : Aluminized Heat Barrier . Using the hi-temp glue, applied to the rear clip fiberglass (underside) over the engine and headers. Long lasting and certainly improve\lowered temps to an acceptable range.
HiTorque starter would be a good place to start, they're made to index and adapt to just about any setup.
With that said, depends on the flywheel\clutch selection, position of the starter and if the G50 has been shortened (must do for a GT40). My drivetrain is a G50\351W\Tilton carbon clultch...
Avon CR6ZZ vs Hoosier R6
I used 15" Hoosier R6 for years then switched to Avons last year, my experiece is Avons are far better for the street. I have yet to try Avons on track but from what I can tell they will be as good if not better than the Hoosiers. Avons also fill the wheel arches and...
I'm guessing luck is probably the smallest part of the equation, a lot of hard work and sacrifice it what gets the results.....
Jim, most if not all the members here appreciate you sharing all you can, when you can, on this site. Thanks a million
Fine recommendation Mike, I had the same issue simply backing out of my stall. Boy was I shocked to see this assembly so vulnerable. Along with bolt replacement I took it one step further and drilled the cap head for safety wire.
in addition to all the good advice above......depending on available space, a fan shroud will add considerable efficiency to the fans ability to draw air over the whole radiator....
^that's the stuff^ Really does what it claims, next step is in all my cars I like it that much (Rick, I like the McQueen film better yet!). There are 2 or 3 levels and I selected the lowest level concerned about visibility but the next application I'm gonna go up. As Dave mentioned the...
On this thread and a concurrent thread regarding Alt gauge I read "...on early cars it was an issue...." What's considedered early? year, vin #? Any specifics?
Should I be concerned with SPF faulty wiring with a chassis assembled in 2009?
Is there any reason not to "lock" the dizzy and set it at full advance (what ever that may be for your motor). I currently have full advance come in at 2,400 rpm (webers) and I'm curious what the effect will be if I come in sooner with full advance.
