    Good idea. (That's how we do it on dyno engines, in our case a 3mm thermocouple which protrudes into the sump pan as near to the oil pick up pipe as possible) Regards Steve

    The dark blue no.98 GT40 'dancing' with the MG in post #1 is GT40P/1109. One of the seven original Ford (Abbey Panels) chassis that were left over when production ceased. Subsequently built up in the 1970's & given a 11xx chassis number by JWA.

    Don't forget the follow up film which features a lot of Lee's memories. Ref., the above film. It's not accurate to say a Tennant replacement chassis is an 'original' ( Abbey Panels ) chassis from the 1960's. It isn't.
