I have been hearing about people using BMW M1 boxes for there gt40s and all of that. I know they are ZF boxes. Why do you need to convert them to LHD to use them in a LHD car? Do the cost about the same as a RBT 5spd box. I would appreciate any response.

Re: WHATS WRONG WITH THIS FORM Hershal Byrd finished his RF in like 7 to 8 months. It seems that some people can finish their gt40s in no time flat but some people like to take longer.

Can I use a serpentine setup even though the kit comes with a vbelt? The engine that I want to use comes with a water pump. Will the serpentine belt work with the alternator and all of that stuff. I can exclude the water pump because engine factory sells engines that have it. Or do I need to...

I would think 500 would be the max for me for a gt40. Gary is using a 427W that makes 615 hp in his CAV. He is using the RBT 5 speed.

r0b0tc0rpse, The ZF 5DS25 and G50 series are good too. They are 5 speeds but are pretty good. Some RF users are using the audi 01E box. Its pretty strong. Its basically a 5 speed with another overdrive. The RF people are using the 2wd version not the 4wd version. They shorten the tailshaft and...
