    Mark B's Build Thread

I finally have my first track day next Sunday at COTA (have done a smaller track and the Texas Mile already). I grew up in Chicago so used to track my C4 at Road America a bunch, but this will be the first big track with the SLC. I'll be taking it easy to get used to the track and car, of...

A lot of people ask what it's like to drive it so I finally posted a POV / commentary video:

    Mark B's Build Thread

Hi Bill, The zero-rate springs on the front are Hyperco. Here's the link on Amazon I increased both front and rear spring rates. Fronts were originally 600LB, now 700LB. Rears were 650LB, now 850. My kit was delivered back in 2014 so I'm not sure what rates Fran is shipping them with now though...

    Mark B's Build Thread

It's been a while since my last update, so here goes. I did a bunch of driving around, cars and coffee, etc and now have about 3600 miles on the car. Overall it was working fine even in the crazy Texas heat this year. in Sept I decided to do a couple projects: 1) Swapped out to a Davies Craig...

    Alex's SLC build thread

Not sure when they made the change to the standard kit, but these are the brackets the kits come with now. Worth contacting RCR to see if they'll swap them. https://www.superlitecars.com/parts/90-degree-tail-hinge I had the ones in your pic with my kit and ended up ditching the whole setup and...

    Dusty's SLC Build

Great progress, Dusty! Regarding the front clip alignment, make sure you mock up your windshield before you try aligning anything with the front of the spider. Assuming you're using a glass windshield, several of us had to spread out the spider to help fill the gap between the spider and the...

    Camshaft replacement gtr difficulty

Looking at the GTR chassis pics on like it looks very similar to the SLC chassis. I'm doing my SLC cam right now and absolutely no way to do it with the motor in the car unless you removed all of the interior and even then probably not.

FS USA Superlite SL-C wheel bearing upgrade parts.

Hey Ken, are the rear stub shafts the right dimensions for a Graziano without having to get new axles?

    Dusty's SLC Build

Yea it's normal. Just internal friction in the transaxle with cold gear lube. My SLC with Graz also does it. My old 6-speed Corvette did it too.

    SLC AC condensate drain problems

Just to close this out -- Ian was spot on! It was all coming from condensation on the lines. I insulated the exposed metal lines/connections as well as the rubber lines in the cabin and problem solved. I had no idea that much water could come from condensation on the lines! Thanks Ian!

    Steering Column question....2 part..

Looks like you have the same column mine came with -- 1999 Olds Intrigue I had the same issue with offset and others have as well. On mine, I re-drilled the mounting holes and shifted it over about 3/4 of an inch to center it in the dash opening. The most important part though, is to test-fit...

Here's a pic of the SLC leading the cruise. A lot of very nice, high-dollar cars there.

    Mark B's Build Thread

My girls must have felt sorry for me this weekend -- for Father's Day my oldest went with me to a cruise-in on Saturday and my youngest went with Sunday morning on a supercar tour here in Austin. They asked me to be the center lead car which was cool but kind of surreal since we were surrounded...

    Front Nose Modification

Definitely the right question to ask! The first time I had mine over 150mph (inner fenders installed and stock splitter mounts, literally all 4 of the splitter mount brackets broke AND a few sections of the inner fenders separated their bonds due to all the air pressure in that area. In...

    Mark B's Build Thread

So my 16-year-old daughter has been joking about learning how to drive stick in the SLC. So last weekend I said, let's go. Bought a nice thick pillow to help her reach the pedals and found an empty parking lot. She actually did pretty well -- only killed it a few times. Unfortunately the lesson...
