Off the deep end / blueprints

Hi Andy Re blueprints, scaling etc I totally agree with Russ. However, if you are happy to build a MkIII coupe chassis (a little different to the MkIIIB) I totally recommend you try and pick up one of the Tamiya 1:12 models and scale it up. From my research, it is surprisingly accurate...

    GT90 from ground up

Ryan, that's pretty much how my brother and I did our bodyshell. The plaster went on over MDF, foam and countless other things used to bulk out the stations, so the underlying material was not nearly as pretty as Des' workmanship. One drawback we found with the plaster was that there was in...

What causes heavy steering at racing speeds

What a great project for one of you engineering types with big machines and lots of time on your hands! You could fab up an upright with a bolt-on top plate that locates the upper ball joint. Make several top plates up with different UBJ distances so you have an instant variety of KPI angles...

My respect also, Iain. Ron T is one of my heros of motorsport engineering, and Ron Harrop makes awesome race/road equipment too. I'll be using Harrop for brakes and some other bits and pieces. I'm looking forward watching your build develop ...

What causes heavy steering at racing speeds

Ross, please forgive me if you've already given the data that covers this, but how much further outboard is your tyre centreline from the hub face compared with the original torana? I'm asking because a large change in wheel offset over the original spec will wear the bearings prematurely...

GT FUSION - An Idea I'm Working On...

Hi Mark I really like what you've done with the front and rear views, but I think there is something missing from the side view. The rear looks fine to me with the big wheels, but the over all balance isn't quite there, I think. What about a front splitter? If designed right it will help...
