    Assembling a Monocoque

Hi Bune It was shame we didn`t see in Strömstad; Bert said You left factory little earlier, i was late due problems with car. But i wondered Your mono-parts, and i`m not specialist in tooling, but seems to me You can do almost everything with that Fokker. Beautiful parts. I hope soon we can...

    Quaife 62G transaxle

Quaife claims in their newest (and last years) catalogue they make "direct replacement" for ZF DS 25, type 62G transaxle. 5 speed, helical/syncro. They say for asking price call to GT TRANSMISSIONS. I`ll do that, but do anyone here have this box in own use, or know "anything" usefull about this...

    Farstest model A

This car is ex-world rally champ Juha Kankkunen`s car, custom made for him by MAT ltd, Finland. But dunno if it was his exact order or was it "some kind of joke" from wealthy mates or him. Expensive one. Gearbox is works-type ZF Seen it in action, very confusing experience to see -and- hear...

Now i know why there isn´t much 305 Peugeots anymore. Fine european chase, except flames; they are Hollywood styled (Pinto-syndrome? )

Snow in the UK - everything stops.

We usually managed, somehow... One inch of snow and headlines screams "winter surpriced drivers" or "slippery road caused serious accident". Every winter. But it`s never drivers fault  Here rains first snow every year in November. Few degrees below zero (cels), 10"+ snow, studded tyres...

    Spinning wheels

Keith1, I`m not sure I understud You correctly (I`m really not a wizard in english :shy: ), sorry for that. One adding to my writing: First of Conquest 351 pic; BDA -engine, exhaust left side of car, last pic; exhaust right side of engine and details shows it`s not "pinto" (means in europe...

    Spinning wheels

History of that imsa-mustang was (quickly from my memory, sorry for possible errors) : 1978 German raceteam Zakspeed (Eric Zakowski) built new car for Group 5, so called silhouette formulas; Ford Capri (mk3 type). It was first Kent 1,3 iron block based (rules), bored to ~1,4 and head was...

    429: Will it fit?

I measured mates (RIP 10/-08  ) 522cid "385 -series" engine (460), and compared to my mk1 engine room. After that i stopped dreaming about mk1/2 + "385" combo. It won`t fit (w/o very, very exotic transmission arrangements). Wondering now how will 351 fit...

    What happened to three Mirages?

After reading some books: - there was only three Mirages; M0001, M0002 and M0003, is that correct? - they were with alu-monocoque? - two of them converted to mk1 GT40? How? -> Keeping alu-mono`s and Mirage ID nr or how? -> is there original GT40 with alu-mono, at least two pcs? Didn`t found...

    NA or turbo?

Thanks for answers. That Q was wrote after few x-mas drinks :drunk: (sorry), but honest text anyway; there is always problem called -what engine- when you are building replica car. If you are building monoque-gt40, then line is crystal clear; mk1 with sbf or mkII with FE with 15" wheels...
