I'm still trying to figure out how to get my GT40 to Pittsburgh. One option is to share a transport from New England (solo truck is an option, but it's not cheap).

I found what looks like the perfect trailer for a GT40. It's light weight (~950 lbs) and the GVWR is about 6,600 lbs. It has a fiberglass top that tilts out of the way (no need for hatches for the door) and a tilt bed. But Racing Shuttle 3 trailer is made in the UK by Brian James Trailers...

The auction is over. 1069 is listed on the Available Lots page, however on the car's auction page it's listed as sold. Did anyone watch the auction? I'm curious what the high bid was and did it sell at the auction? Or possibly it sold privately.

On a slight tangent: Pre-war Bugatti race cars are so famous for being light blue that people call the color "Bugatti Blue". But in reality, the color was whatever shade of light blue the local paint supply company had in stock at the time.

While I occasionally use my existing trailer's winch, I've had almost 30 years of practice of driving my GT40 on to my open trailer, so I'm not too worried about that.

The trailer looks nice, but I think I want a hatch in the side so I can open the GT40s door. That looks like a nice trailer, but I don't have the skills for DIY.

This thread is 4 years old. Does anyone have any updated recommendations a lightweight enclosed trailer for a GT40 in the US? I love my open trailer (Brian James), but it's nearly 30-years old.
