    Graziano Transaxle's first gear.

Hello all, Still lurking, going to visit Fran next week. Have been unable to learn if there are differences between the 2 offered Graziano Transaxles other than ratios. Synchros? Gear width? Heat treats? ETC? Thanks for any help that you may offer. Mike

    New SLC Wiki

Thanks for the responses all. I have communicated with several owners and "bent several ears", including Will's at Charlotte last year. Thanks to all for your patience. Planning a trip to RCR next month. For the wiki, my interest is in a street car, and the ease of obtaining a title and...

    Barber Motorsports Park Historics

Just became aware of this. Might be of some interest. This is a beautiful track just east of Birmingham, AL in Leeds, AL. www.barbermotorsports.com/higpa-home.php#

    RCR's Next car should be.....

I also think that the GR1 is beautiful. But, bit of a thread hijack here, I don't understand the wheels. Is there a reason for the alternating wine glass, tumbler configuration or is it simply styling? Mike

    Hollow bolts

Terry, To state some obvious things. Bolts are used for tension loads and shear loads. Bolts have "allowable" loads for each. Bolts designed for tension are different than those designed for shear. Tension bolts have heads with a generous radius between the head and shaft and must be...

    Hollow bolts

Terry, Was there a hole in the hex head? Could a smaller diameter bolt be installed through this hollow bolt? Sometimes in aircraft applications where a single point attachment was required, a bolt in bolt configuration was used to prevent single element failure of the joint. Mike

    slc Ls 376 and grazziano

Dave, I believe "Bodhii" addressed this earlier and indicated that the R8 also is gated at the shifter. If I remember correctly, he did not like it. Mike

    LS376-480 start problem

Glenn, Was the solution replace the MAP sensor or "reintroduce" it to the ECU? Mike

    LS376-480 start problem

If a check valve problem or something similar exists, would you not expect to see fuel rail pressure collapse as soon as the injectors fired? Mike

To build my SL-C or alternative...

Hello Irwin, I have not yet pulled the trigger. I want to build a street car, an R8 analog. Because of the R8 thing, I want a cam in head engine. Working choice is Ford Coyote. I started looking at GTM but reconsidered when FFR told me that it would not fit. Was reconsidering engine choice...

    RIP

I too enjoyed listening to the Tappet brothers. I don't know whether Tom was Click or Clack. There radio program brought laughter to an audience well beyond "car nuts".

    Bleeding Brakes

I am still a lurker but I find myself thinking what should I do to prepare. As to bleeding brakes, I have been old school, one of the boys pumping the pedal while I crack the bleed valve. If I am going to build a car, what would I do? I find 3 types of solutions, vacuum at bleed valve...

    GT-R

Fran, The body photos do not show molded headlight "receivers". Is the kit going with headlight assemblies? Does the A/C take advantage of the centerline intake at the base of the windscreen? Mike
