Lotus was the only car manufacturer, I could find, that printed a torque setting for securing spinners. Early Lotus manuals showed 160 to 180 and later manuals showed 200 to 220 ft/lb of torque. I would rather have known values used on '40's tho.

Since having my steering rack changed earlier this year, I have just had my GTD40 MOT'd and it has failed because, and I quote "Nearside front (fouling anti roll bar drop link) track rod end seriously misaligned." Same for Offside. I have never had this problem before, so can only assume it is...
