Right Hand Drive (RHD) in USA - Comments

Dave, Agree with you that rod shift linkage is a more positive feel. I wanted a LHD (wanted to feel safe driving our roads and not wanting to crawl over the shifter also safer for my wife and passengers to get in and out) but, didn't want cable shift. LHD can be fitted with rod shift...

    SPF GT40 Genesis

Dave, When Olthoff built 2125 he used a coating on the inside of the rear clamshell used on trucks to coat the inside of composite hoods; works great as there no discoloration of my light blue paint or deformation of the glass laminate. 2125 does have a plexi cover over the engine ( I...

    SPF GT40 Genesis

Michael, I don't get the paint comments. I have an early car (P2125) and although Olthoff and later I fixed/upgraded a number of the early teething issues (non paint) and a lot of upgrade personalization has been done the paint is VERY good. I should know as I painted cars in my dad's body...

    SPF GT40 Genesis

Mike, Why did you take the car with those flaws? My cars paint, panel alignment and attention to details is great (these are strong points with SPF on all their products). Again I ask why did you take the car with those flaws? Steve P2125

    Upgrades/options and mods to P2125

Alan, I am a Nuclear and Electrical Engineer (former EO on Nuclear Submarine) not a degreed ME. I have not performed a structural stress analysis but, I believe your criticism is unfounded. You are correct that the original reason for constructing the sway bar mount for P2125 was related...

    Upgrades/options and mods to P2125

If you look close the rear plate spans the upper hoop bolts and upper shock bolt. The sway bar connection is made between the two mountings. It was custom fabbed. Did it before Jim C reported his failure and still think was sufficient to prevent failure like his but, I wanted to be doubly safe...

Mark, You say that you have bled. Have you bled top radiator, temp sensor at top intake ect ? I lower the front and fill then lower the back and fill and bleed ect. Sure your timing OK? Hoses not collapsing? Pump impeller moving? Thermostat have a vent hole at top, is it...

    I have changed my status....

Kevin, Thanks for the kudo on my reservoir upgrade (worth it. no leaks or weeps since the retro). For your clutch: I went for an external slave. If you have an internal I would change. IMHO. Regards, Steve
