INQUIRY: Aston Martin V8 reference request

I have a number of pictures showing engine detail, some that were given to me by a guy who's Dad was at Lemans during scrutineering. Hope they are of help. Also, all show engine with carbs. I can find no evidence to show that they ran the Aston with injection in the few races that it did. If...

    T70 MK3b Rearlights

T70 headlamps are 5" and 7" either 'sealed beam units' or now you can get them with an H4 bulb fitment. Lucas do a nice 'Quadoptic' version in the 7" which would be nice on a road car. The indicators are a side-repeater lamp I think fitted to some landrover and 70's-80's British Leyland models...

    Check this pic out

There was a colour similar to this used by Ford in the 60's on the Cortina 1600E I think called 'Ceramic Blue'. Looks very similar.

    Really good old aviation pics

OK. Solved my own riddle. Its a Curtiss Seamew apparently. A bit more than halfway down the page, before the B17 tail picture.

    Really good old aviation pics

Some great pictures here. Anyone care to have a guess at the un-titled picture about mid-way down. 2 float planes with slightly up turned wing tips on catapults. I thought maybe Firefly's or Barracuda? Or was the other one an Albercore? Any one? Darren.

    On Board Silverstone Classic

Good little video to go with this one. On-board a Porsche 906 (I think). Just racing until around the 7:20min mark when lapped by the hard charging 512/T70 pair. quite awesome footage. Silverstone Classic 2012 World Sports Car Masters - YouTube Oh, and that's the T70's door skin that goes...

    Caging T-70 Coupe?

Just found this one too. Shows the mounting cup on the radius rod tower and fastening with seat belt bar. Also the plate half way along the diag that gives support to the door latch. On the front bar you can see fitting for door hinge. Darren

    Caging T-70 Coupe?

Just for starters, here is a continuation car roll cage "naked" so to speak. I'll have to trawl through my folders to see if I have any close-ups of the various points. The main hoop locates into cups on the radius rod towers and is clamped in by the seat belt bar and radius rod through bolt.The...

Operation PLUTO - well I'll be darned.. BP, check this out!

There are still a few of the pumping station "Houses" to be found in and around various seaside towns on the south coast. Some are actually being lived in after conversion but they do have 3ft thick walls and blast proof roofs. Always found the PLUTO scheme interasting, and there have been a few...

    Le Mans classic

No is the short answer. Although a few continuation cars have crept in under the radar, they do specify original cars only. Although Richard Mille's T70 always seems to get an entry and that wasn't built until the early 1980's...... Darren

    real Lola t70 wheel sizes?

Well, that is sort of what I say in my first sentence...... But seriously, T70's, bloody nightmare. Show me 2 the same and I'll show you a continuation car..... Darren

    real Lola t70 wheel sizes?

All the T70 Mk's used same length susp arms, although slightly different for each mark. All track width variatrions would be down to wheel rim width/offset, although after being party to the continuation cars and some Mk3 rims being remanufactured, the backspace/offset is pretty constant as they...

    Anyone know what these are?

At first glance they looked like T70 Mk3b, but on closer inspection, def not. Could be later t160/2/3/4/5 series althoug the earlier cars used same as Mk3b. I'll have a search around, see what I can find. Darren

    Lola T-70 MK3 B Street Project...
