    Ac cobra original

As far as I know , its original ,Shelby CX 2051. Looks very similar to Graham Bryant's ex Salvadorie car, that I've run on a couple of occasions.

Oh, Foxcraft. I know Ian Cox (Cocker) really well. Worked with him back in my F3000 engine building days. If your down there again say "Hello" from T70 Darren, he'll know who you mean. Darren

    T70 heaven today at Doinnington

That's short circuit too, no Melbourne Loop. I'd think most of that time is made up in braking and corner speed rather than acceleration. Plus the Gr C cars were on slicks and T70 on Dunlop post historic treads. Darren

    Mechanical tachometer question.

Just a thought but why not use one of the current electronic "Classic" tacho's on the market. There are a few around now with original 60's style Smiths faces and they operate with a "Chronometric" style needle movement below a set RPM, say 3000. Above this they revert to a normal electronic...

    T70 heaven today at Doinnington

Got some comparison times today. Olly Bryant T70 Mk3 Fastest lap 1:[email protected] mph versus Bob Berridge Sauber/Mercedes C11 1:00.7@116 mph. Looking down the times though, Olly would have made the Group C grid in a car 20 years out of date ;) I hear Frank S is out of hospital and...

    Name That Car

I'd not heard of it until yesterday. Caught the owner talking about it on "Classic Car Club" while I was channel hoping. Thought it would make a good subject for this thread, so google'd it for an image. Owner seemed to suggest it is the only one in existence. Darren

Top points go to Mr M :). It is indeed THE Jenard Jabeka. It had a tubular chassis with a Austin A40 or Coventry Climax 1100cc engine.

    name the aeroplane part 2

Quite correct sir. My Father was driving heavy haulage in the 50's and actually transported the FD2 from Fairey's in Hayes to Boscombe Down for flight trials. The aircraft was moved whole, suspended on two a-frames, one on nose the other up the jet-pipe, so that they could tilt (bank) the whole...
