    Oil/Coolant Temp Sensor

Howard: Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. The temp probe bottoms out in the Fragola part I noted above before the threads have any chance to engage. I think this is a much cleaner solution.

Congrats Mike! Glad it was worth it in the end. BTW, how is your oil temp sensor plumbed into your system?

    Oil/Coolant Temp Sensor

I'm trying to plumb the oil temp sensor of a SPF into my oil line. The coolant and oil temp sensors are mechanical. Looks like the coolant temp sensor will plug into a boss on the intake manifold so that should be solved (yet to try it). I was planning on putting in a -12AN T fitting into the...

Superformance FIA - Cobra For Sale ***SOLD***

Nevertheless, this is the car that beat Ferrari and won it's class at Lemans (well, the Daytona version), not the 427. When I was younger, I loved the look of the 427 and the thought of a 7L engine stuffed in a chassis/body it had no business in. I now appreciate these FIA 289's much more.

Re: p2348 Well the first attempt at dropping the engine in resulted in contact between the dry sump pulley and the firewall. It is exceptionally tight in here if you do a dry sump. With Olthoff's serpentine belt system I would have plenty of room without the sump. First photo shows my...

Superformance FIA - Cobra For Sale ***SOLD***

I think I've seen this car at Olthoff's. If I bought a Cobra, it would be outfitted just like this one. Much leaner and meaner and probably better handling than the "turd" (can't remember which driver gave that nickname to the 427 Cobra).

    More Global Cooling/Warming/Change hoax.

FWIW, Hawking is no anthropologist and doesn't know shit about evolution. Brilliant man to be sure, but talking well beyond his expertise as a physicist. Man has always been aggressive, self-centered, and greedy. How the hell do you think we survived the other beasts on the Savannah? Show me...

Re: p2348 1)Serpentine is figured out. 2)Pedal assembly is complete. Big thanks to Mike for putting me in touch with his crew at LuftKraft. They custom made a sealed bearing insert for the gas pedal so hopefully better longevity/durability. Pedal assembly is installed, had to trade the...

Whole house stage is before kids. Sex everywhere in the house you can think of. Bedroom stage is after kids. Sex is pretty much confined to the bedroom. Hallway stage is later. That's when sex with your wife is pretty much confined to passing in the hallway and saying "Fuck you" whereupon...

Re: p2348 Does anyone have a photo of Olthoff's serpentine belt system from the back side of the alternator? All I have is pics from the front and there is a bracket that attaches to the back of the alternator and (I believe) the engine block that I want to make sure I have oriented correctly.

Re: p2348 Hoses were supplied but no tubes. I may go this route: Spectre 6818: Steel-Flex Radiator Hose 1-3/4" diameter | JEGS The hose is flexible and, once I have the engine in place, I can purchase the length I need and bend to fit. Next problem is the alternator/AC mount. The 2 studs...

Re: p2348 Regarding the pump, I'm not sure why Dennis spec'd the Carter but as a newbie I'll defer to his experience. I see Randy's point, hoping the lift (pre-swirlpot) pump keeps it from running dry. I've heard of issues with the Holley, both seals and other reliability problems. They're...
