    non relative but curious

What is the market like for early Countachs these days? They are two generations old (BIG generation gaps there) now so it should be approaching "ripe"...I would think.

    New and nearly new engines

Gordon, I am doing my best to pick-up new high-quality parts here and there and saving money in the process. I have acquired a new billet 3.4" crank and new 5.315" Carrillo rods so far. Like most, I would like a motor that runs very strong (440 lb/ft sounds pretty good) and is reliable for...

    Pantera Transmission

As far as I know 4.22's were a BMW M1 ZF ratio. They could be installed in a Pantera but reportedly make for a rather "short legged" car--tough to imagine 90 MPH (assuming 90 MPG quoted above was a mistake) in second gear w/ 4.22's in a relatively factory original Pantera. I suspect the owner...

    New Dart Ford Small Block

Did they happen to indicate how long until an aluminum version will be available? Beyond a revised main bearing oiling system (was this a huge issue?), what sort of advantages over Ford Racing products are they citing? Scott

    Low Oil/Fuel PSI

I spoke w/ Dennis Quella of Colorado about running a dry sump and A/C. He is/was working an ERA GT that he is/was installing a dry sump system into and that car was going to retain its A/C. He was fabricating a mounting system that incorporated the fuel pump boss and was optimistic about it...

    GT40s Engines

I'd think that a 302 based 342 could be twisted plenty tight if you built it well with high quality (but expensive) parts. I would think billet steel or titanium 5.315" rods (to keep the piston pin out of the ring lands) and a light crank and pistons in a R302 block should take 7500 rpm...

    Dry Sumps?

Anyone out there running a dry sump on a small block? Eventually, I would like to run a dry sump and A/C on an ERA car but the compressor sits where the oil pump is commonly located and the alternator sits on the left. Any ideas, experiences or images? Scott

    Differences between 302 and 351W ?

There is also a tall deck 302 (8.7" deck height) now available from ford performance parts. It is supposedly capable of 380c.i. and represents an interesting option. Of course intake manifold availability becomes a consideration but should not be an issue forever as aftermarkets catch up (or...

    Carbon fiber exhaust cans

Can anyone tell me if/where carbon fiber exhaust cans (shown with the ZF in the thread called "GT40 Enthusiast Club 2001 Photos") can be purchased? Thanks
