    New gt40 monocoques available!

Hey everyone, look at this website I've stumbled upon. They are selling original-style FIA GT40 tubs, suspendion, brakes, Etc It appears all parts are FIA-spec and is very exciting indeed. I have no link with the website, but thought you'd all be very interested, especially as there's some...

    Beware of John Bremmer

A "gentleman" by the name of John Bremmer tried to sell me some "original BRM wheels" for $3000. His emails didn't sound right, so I used our old friend Google to hunt him down. It seems he may be a scammer, so only email him if you wish to lose some money. [email protected]...

    Original GT40 Parts For Sale

I had a few enquiries about the wheels from Australia and the Nethelands, but the first guy to lay down a deposit has got the BRMs and is a gentleman from Detroit. The tanks sold to Aus and the fuel regulator to NZ. Truly an international love affair with GT40s! Still other parts available...

    Which is the real M3/1101...?

I love the intrigue! Assuming a LHD to RHD conversion would require a new bulkhead and floorpan, plus RH inner sill for gearshift mechs. This would leve a large amount of old useless tub. I say "useless", but didn't the learned Brian Wingfield once say if you had 30% of the original tub...

Sbarro 2079/1023 Coys Padua Oct 23

Sbarro may be guilty, but the car is innocent. I'd rather have this, than any other replica because of its interesting, although notorious, history.

    Cooling capacity

Hi John, if the ratio is 50/50, then simply put a litre of antifreeze in, then a litre of water, then a litre of antifreeze, then a litre of water and keep going until the system is ful and all air is out of the system. Then you'll know for certain what capacity your system is, assuming you...

    Original GT40 Parts For Sale

Hi, as I said in my thread about the spare engine I have for sale, there are some other period original spares available which I'll list as I come across them. I will denote those currently needing to be shipped in NZ and those from the UK- 1. Pair perfectly good (out of FIA date)...

    FIA 1965 GT40 289 ci Engine

Price reduced to £12,500! Also, I could split if enough interest, although that would be a shame as it's pretty unique to fine a complete 1965 historic spec GT40 engine which, when bolted together, is ready to go. Please email me at [email protected] or phone +44(0)1747854423 if you...

    P1001

P/1042 Well, at last, some news. The interior is almost complete, the motor has turned via the starter key and the electrics are finished. Final job is hubs, shafts and wheels fitted! It will be back in the UK next Spring, it will, it will.. I think!

    original GT-40 engine

Yes, a period 289 for someone wanting originality, but not to everyone's taste I guess. I do know where there is a monocoque tub, suspension and bodywork, to go with that motor. A real head start in the originality stakes. Give me a shout if interested. Best regards.. Andrew

    FIA HTP for a gt40.....

Funny enough, my pre-66 289 ci is for sale on the parts for sale section. It's got all the correct bits you'll need, like 1965 block, 1965 iron hipo heads etc. I'm a "stickler" for originality and it's period original, but with mostly new internals, so won't go "BAnG" in a hurry. The only...

    Might someone know this car?

Jack.. I have no visiting rights. I'm only the customer! We need a possie with fresh horses and well-oiled rifles to bust my car out of NZ! Back on topic. 1070 was certainly bouncing off the Le Mans kerbs nicely back in July. Very wrecklessly driven for such an expensive bit of history.

    Might someone know this car?

Tray, if you ever do get over to the UK, then you're more than welcome to stay with Debbie and I for a weekend. Perhaps by then, I'll also know where my GT40 is.. finally in my garage and not NZ!

    Might someone know this car?

I believe GT40P/1070 lives not but a couple of miles from me, what a coincidence! If I am not mistaken, it finished second to GT40P/1012 "TES1E" at this year's Le Mans Classic. The racing team who look after it are- Racing - Wren Classics
