    What ya drivin ?

Rob, I actually am a huge fan of the earlier Zs too. I have noticed your icon before and thought about asking if you were into the old Zs. I was looking for a 240Z before I came across the 300ZXTT. I couldn't really find one to my liking here... and also decided that if I got an older Z, I...

    What ya drivin ?

sirjys, I really like the car. A lot of the people that drive them here are also from the "fast and furious" crowd as well though... Mine is also Pearl White. It is incredible how much power can be had from these with just bolt on parts! Just changing the computer's fuel and timing curves...

    What ya drivin ?

The daily driver is a 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin-Turbo. It makes for a fun drive. It is a little 2 seater, with the 3L turbo engine putting out around 300 horsepower, backed up by a 5 speed manual transmission. Neat little car! In the garage is my fair weather fun driver... the '68 Camaro. John

Ford Gt will spank a Viper

Interesting story involving a minivan... On the way to church one day in my '68 Camaro, there pulled up along side me a minivan. I seem to recall it being a Ford Windstar actually... So, the guy driving it keeps looking over and revving it... I didn't think much of it and just left the light...

Yeah, I assumed the verbal abuse would be a given! I understand the sentiments that would lead to a tongue lashing. And, I probably will end up going with a small block Ford when I do build my Z. I was just curious if it had been done with a Chevy. Thanks for the info. John

Hello to all and glad to be a member

Hi Phil! Well, I just replied to your other post about the transaxle. Thanks again for the info. I'm a newbie here myself. Great site. Lots of info. I hope to purchase a build-it-yourself GT40 within the next few years, and am just beginning to collect technical info before diving into...

    Engine Factory.Com

When I was searching for a small block for my '68 Camaro, I ran into a few people running engines from Engine Factory who all seemed pleased with their purchases. With a 137 mph trap speed, you should definately be able to get into the 11 second zone! With my Camaro that weighs about 3100...

    Great drives ?

Don't know if the first story qualifies... Me and my dad driving 24 hours straight from Virginia to Minnesota... around 1800 miles... no sleep... in a leaky beat up old Dodge Caravan minivan. OK, so it wasn't a cool car! But it was memorable! Cool car story... taking a long drive in the...

Variable Cam Timing for SB V8s

Well, I looked into the Roton Engines thing a bit more online. Seems that they've been around for years and have never really gotten it working. Problems seem to be related to sealing the shaft to keep compression in the cylinder during the compression stroke. Oh well, seemed neat anyway...

Variable Cam Timing for SB V8s

That looks awesome! Great idea. Pros not discussed on their website... - because there is no standard valve, you have no piston to valve clearance issues. Thus, you can run a tighter quench area without having to worry about valve interference. Also yes, the RPM potential is huge! Questions...

    New Shelby Cobra !

Yeah, just passed by the bookstore the other day and saw that on the cover of the Road and Track or Track Auto, whichever it was... looked neat, and evidently has some big power! John
