    Darrin's MMR BOSS based GT40

Darrin: Looking good so far, pretty soon we'll be looking at the top side. If you are having trouble with those stainless rivets Huck makes a hydraulic hand operated gun that will pull up to 1/4" rivets..a little slow but I've had had one for 20 years and it works great. I was wondering...

    Help

Ellis, This sounds a little out there but I have seen some hangers for steering columns that look similar to that, although they had a clamping setup on the big loop. Just a thought. Phil

    Chuck and Ryan's RCR Build

Tom: Very interesting setup , and I would say you got great results. I recently had to do one and we could not get numbers as good as you got, the chassis had a lot of anti-dive and as you can imagine there was quite a bit of change at the steering arm from ride height to full bump so we took...

    Chuck and Ryan's RCR Build

Check & Tom Chuck, it sounds like you solved your suspension issues and had a good drive, which after all what its all about. I read your posts with interest and in my experience as Tom says the upright will swing in relation to the wishbones at 90 deg. to the pivots. The issue you will...

Anyone know much about Granada rear hubs?

Darrin: I believe you are in good hands with Frank, if you are still stuck shoot me a PM as I have access to two local bearing guys here locally, and the one has a ton of NOS stuff laying around. Cheers Phil

    Granada Spindle Upgrade?

Bill: Those Wilwood uprights are really nice, they are not copies of the Mustang II but look similar, and can take a variety of brakes up to some real big stuff, all direct bolt up. Also they have so called "improved geometry", and a bolt on steering arm. Here is the link...

    Renault UN1 input shaft spline

Robin: I remember a job we did a number of years ago that had a Chevy motor with a Renault box, and although I had the gearbox out for a bit I never measured the input shaft. My ZF gearbox is sitting behind a Ford 302, with a Ford motorsports clutch, and I had to use a Chevy disc, 1 1/8 X...

    Air Horns ?

Jim: Look in one of those tuner car sites for a small compressor, that and a small air tank for a reservoir, some 1/4" plastic line, a valve and some fittings and you are good to go. The big trucks just have a line to the valve in the ceiling, and run off the main air supply. Happy New...

    Best finish for dashboard painting?

Goeff: The stuff I liked the best was a flat finish on the dash with a coating called "Soft touch clear coat". It feels like velvet and is dead flat, no reflection. I think if you google it it will come up. Cheers Phil

    RF #12 "Race" Chassis

Dave: Looking good. I am right behind you in respect to the exhaust and startup, just plugging away. All your body fixings look really good, and I hope I do as well on the exhaust. Merry Christmas Phil

Keith Baker's Southern gt on the build

Keith: I have to say this is one of the nicest builds I have followed here on the forum. It seems everything just goes together well. I am sure there were hours angsting over details to get where you are. I have always liked the black wheel look, and mine are that color with a nut instead...

    My Scratch Built Project

Now for some photos: I needed to re-locate the dipstick and that is not fully mounted pending the exhaust, but flanges are on the motor and ready for tubing. Its not easy to see but the new radius rods are much better looking, and fit up is much better. Not completed upper water outlet is...

    Tornado Build - www.gt40builder.com

Trevor, Nice job on the fan mounting...top shelf. Here is a link to the stuff I used on my coolant tubes, easy and cheap. This is the same stuff I use around exhaust etc, when running lines or cables. Here is the link McMaster-Carr Look at the heat dissipating fiberglass sleeving...
