I also use 1/4" OD line for my radiator vent. In my case, I used "Nylo-Seal" nylon tubing instead of steel or aluminum hard line simply because I had a roll of it on hand. I also used it on a brake reservoir line.

A 650 CFM Holley is not a bad choice. A more modern upgraded version is a Proform 650 black series. I run a Proform 850 on my black Mirage. It was an out- of- the- box bolt- on installation.

How about cutting in a NACA duct at the front of the pan under the tunnel and then vent the rear? This should allow airflow to cool the tubes.
