Agreed - throttle sensor could give problems but still not sure how that alone would rev it to the limiter with throttle fully closed, the air required has to come from somewhere..:confused:

A faulty MAP sensor will adversely affect fuelling for sure but I've never seen one cause it to rev to the limit. Are you sure there is nothing holding the throttle plate open at all? or even partly? i.e. the throttle is actually closing fully when the pedal is not pressed? IF the motor rev's...
