    Motor won't start

Bit late on this but good to hear you're back up and running Tim. Out of interest, does the distributor provide 2 signals to the ECU? - ie reference and sync (cam position for sequential injection). If it does, it is possible that the ECU showed RPM as it got the ref signal, but without the...

    Ricardo Shifter Throw

Sorry Mesa - I missed the opportunity to check today as I was called elsewhere. re Reverse though - I do remember it was a larger gap across the gate from the 1-2 position to Reverse, than the 1-2 position to 3-4 position. I hope that made sense.. and as per the pic above, it's hard left and...

    Ricardo Shifter Throw

Hi Mesa - Are you using the B&M quick-shifter from Fran/FORD? shortens the throw quite a bit and beautifully made. I do not have access to the car at the moment but may be able to check tomorrow, however as I recall, the fore aft movement was something like 100mm at the nut. (need to...

    Windows 7

I purchased an Apple MacBook Pro last month - very slick unit with great display and high spec too. My first Apple unit and I must admit i'm smitten... It's just so easy to use, no lockups or freezing and very fast and even more amazing will run very well for 8+ hours on battery!:stunned...

    GT40 427FE Cross Ram Injection

Looks a nice setup but electronic injectors are a bit of a tell-tale too. ('Green topped bit' visible near stack 8 inlet) As suggested - I've moved to more appropriate section.

Someone flew a small plane into the IRS bldg in Austin, TX.

Hmmm - interesting how it says the site was closed down or taken offline at the request of the FBI - and yet they then go on to provide a link to an archived version of the note... The site only had a copy of the note on it from what I saw so what's the point of taking it offline but...

    Electric rivet gun hire

I've not used an electric one but looks a nice piece of kit. The one I've used was an air powered unit and whilst it worked ok, it was at times somewhat tiring to use due to the airline connection making it awkward to get into tight spaces. Being 'tether-free' I would think is much easier...

Moved - forum discussion on cars for sale, GTD for sale

Hi Keith - As is very often the case, you are correct. It was a somewhat flippant remark on my part purely as a reaction to the fact that I often feel that much (not all) of the aggravation, stirring of the pot and other such malarkey seems to originate from the UK sector of forum...

    Hi-Speed Run....again.....

Well looks like we're having another crack at the Woodbridge Speed Trials again this year.:pepper: Roy is busy building a new stroker-motor and is all fired-up for another blast. Excellent!! - I pray I am as active as Roy when I'm in my 80's too (assuming I get there...) Now this is a...

Oh well - time I stuck my oar in for the hell of it. Forums cost money to run and time to maintain. A GT40, finished, complete, part finished, as a kit, still remains a serious investment for the person purchasing and also represents a large sum of money to the person selling. (well it...

    GTD rear control arms

If you make the arms so that they are correct standard length centre to centre when the joints are both unscrewed approx half an inch, you'll still be able to adjust the arm length longer or shorter from stock by about an inch. Just remember to keep say 1.5 x dia of rosejoint thread dia...
