I certainly took that a different direction! Haha. I wonder if mine is the original body. I figured out the yellow must have been a wrap. I am thinking my center section was replaced at some point. The returns are certainly different. My front and rear clam reveals where they meet the center...

Once the rear wing is mounted, I can get alot better idea of what will look best to fit in the space. I still really like the rear fin idea. More similar to the scg003 though, than a true LMP car. I believe you were mentioning something like that awhile back.

Yup, I feel the same way. A couple friends let me know it also. Haha. I did blend it in on the outside, but it isn't fully cut out and bonded inside. Mostly due to the fact I wasn't sure it would stay. I was tired of building them at the time. That was #5 version. Once rear wing and all other...

Thanks Cam. Very happy to hear that you see a resemblance. I hold the SCG003 as probably the most beautiful, and highly designed car that is out right now. That car is stunning from every single angle.

Finished hinge. Used 120# lift shocks. Where they are at on the arm will generate about 50# each of lifting force. I would love to put the clam back on and test it, but my "helper" had butter fingers while lowering the clam back down right after the pic above, and dropped it. It wedged against...

thanks Daniel. The Aspira did inspire me to do the rear, but had to make it different ofcourse. Who knows at this point if I will be making molds or not. Will see response when it is nearing completion. I am still not happy with the rear engine cover/scoop, so that will be changing yet again.

Calculating all of the weights to this point. The rear wing support that came on the car, was 35# that was taken off. I am at about +31# on my stuff, so 4# more to go to equal same as before. So, I may go a few pounds over since I still have to make my wing supports to make. They will only be...

Here is what I have been working on lately. Wrapping up all of the loose ends under the rear. So made a rear subframe assembly that carries the rear diffuser, rear hinge system, and the wing will stack over top of that with alignment pins. So, was able to combine all of that in one 5# frame...

I have thought of that. I have some cobalt blue candy concentrate here I can mix in with the clear. But, the blue cloth is so dark, I am not sure it will have the effect I want. I have also tossed around the idea of adding blue pearl powder to the clear, which typically has a purple flop color...

Thanks Mesa. The hinge set up is nearing completion. Took many maths and models, but I think I finally have it. Having a rear face now and the wheel wells installed, it really stiffened up the torsional twist. Hinge is a 4 link set up, placed right about the center of gravity on the rear. Got...

I am using a clear epoxy. It just darkens when wet. Even regular clear coat paint turns it dark. This next time I will spray glue the part and put the mat on, then just pile a ton of clear on it. I know that will stay crystal clear, and I can pound on the last coat and make it all self level...

Thanks Jack. That is the company I have been sourcing through. I thought they were advertising it as kevlar though. It is really hard to cut like kevlar for sure. Either way, that is the fabric I am using, and it was the colored part that really expanded. The new cloth came today. Here is a...

Well, My process ended up sucking. Haha. The color also came out very dark, almost black. Too dark for what I was wanting. I havn't seen it in the sun yet though. I found another cloth that is black, blue, and light gray. It should be abit brighter and it has a really cool weave. Will be...

I had my GTS Viper set at 2" off the ground on the splitter (it has a very similar overhang distance) and it would scrape, but only a touch. It is possible, but you have to zig zag, and turn at the right points. Lol. Hoping to be out of this house in a year or so. And have a proper big shop...

Thanks Mike. I have almost done that before on other lowered cars. Little rollers front and back like a motorhome has. Lol.

Thanks Kent. I am close to having a paint scheme and colors picked out. It should be flat nasty looking with how I plan to cut the paint job up and colors. Everything chassis wise will be black, so alot of the inner parts viewed from the rear, will blend in more and focus will come back onto...

The ground clearance I am setting for the car is 3.5" under the main chassis. The front splitter will be about 3.25" off ground, the rear diffuser at about 4". Honestly, that is a mile compared to how I set other cars at about 2" hahaa. That height puts the lower control arms nearly level in...

Thank you. Yup, lots of work. I really enjoy this creative stuff, but dam, I am getting sick of always being itchy! Haha. Light at the end of the tunnel.
