    Redline Weber 48 IDAs

Does anyone have any knowledge about or experience with a company called Redline Weber (www.redlineweber.com)? This is what they claim about the modified 48 IDAs that they sell: REDLINE is now offering along with the factory 48 IDAs, the Redline modified 48s, 19030.018 with improved low...

    ZF Shifting

I don't have any issues at all with shifting in my ZF - it's as sweet as a nut, but I do use a rod shift mechanism with a copy of the original cars' gear shift mechanism, so maybe that's it.

    Manx Classic 2008

Yes my car was there ... but I think you are mixing up the Le Mans Classic with the Manx Classic which is on the Isle of Man. There is a separate thread on the planned 2008 trip to the Le Mans Classic under the GT40 Enthusiasts Club section.

    Dart versus Man O War

Just to let you know, I ended up going with the 302 Dart aluminium block which will be stroked to around 373 Cu In and ported Gurney Weslake heads. It is due to be completed by Cushman Competition by the end of February. I will let you know how it performs on the dyno and thereafter on the...

    Dart versus Man O War

Chas, Many thanks. I won't be doing over 600 HP so the Dart aluminium block should prove fine for me. Thanks for everyone's input Martinh

    Dart versus Man O War

Chas Thanks for this info. The Dart aluminium block weighs only 83 Lbs with caps and sleeves according to the sales guy I spoke to. Where is the difference in weight between the blocks if the Man O War aluminium block (8.2" deck, 4.125 bore) is 108lbs with caps and sleeves? Also, do you...

    Dart versus Man O War

Does anyone have any opinions as to what are the better blocks to use - Man O War or Dart? I am looking at using one of these aluminium blocks (to save weight) but with Gurney Weslake Heads (for originality). Do these blocks have any known issues? Thanks, Martin

    ZF failure?

Sorry, a bit late to this thread - seems to have been resurrected after a few months. In any event, to give some perspective from the UK race crowd, whilst we have had many experiences of transaxles breaking in the GTD40 Sprint and Hillclimb Championship, we have never had any issues with the...

    Manx Classic 2008

Yes - I intend to be there as well. Wouldn't miss Isle of Man - it's the best season opener that you could want. I will be staying at The Mount Murray as usual. If I can manage to get my video editing software working, I will post some footage of the 2007 event on to the forum. See you...

My car, that was tested in the Evo article, is indeed a very developed GTD that has the Southern GT rear chassis, but with Wealden Engineering's suspension setup.

    Club Agm

Tim, Bjorn Can I respectfully suggest that we take this discussion offline. We all share the same passion for the GT40 and there are many members who are in both clubs (including me), so we shouldn't get into a us and them type of debate on the forum. Thanks, Martin
