My Have Found A Coyote Intake Solution

I’m a little confused. Does anyone have a PCV plumbing diagram that you can show me for a Ford Coyote or a modular engine? I’m more of a visual guy and I can’t see what everyone is trying to say.

See how in this picture the hose goes from the cold air intake to the valve cover. That’s just like I did mine. You’re saying that this is incorrect?

My Have Found A Coyote Intake Solution

What’s strange is looking at the Ford Coyote engine, it has a hose from the cold air intake to a PCV valve to the valve cover and the other side goes to the intake. At lease as far as I can tell from pictures. There are no real diagrams for Coyote engines

My Have Found A Coyote Intake Solution

Great info and thank you. Being a novice on modular engines, I plumbed it like a standard engine of yesteryear. I’m showing my age. So only use 1 PCV valve to a catch can and the other side a filter. When you say run the hose from the catch can to the intake, you say attach to the plenum...

My Have Found A Coyote Intake Solution

This set up is only to get it test started. Once it’s installed in the car, I’m going to have a catch can set up. A catch can vents into the manifold as this set up does. Not sure who said that this is wrong?

The more I connect the hoses and wires, the better it looks.

I’m done and I’m diggin it. I get if many of you will hate this, but I love it and it’s totally functional and I can use all of the stock coyote senors and control pack and most importantly, the drive by wire pedal.

My Have Found A Coyote Intake Solution

Here’s my chassis (Active Power) with a coyote engine from the Active Power site. Looks like I’ll have no trouble with the rear clamshell. The other picture is my chassis that I bought. It had a green engine. The guy I bought if from kept the engine and sold me the chassis. Looks like he has an...

My Have Found A Coyote Intake Solution

I was between a rock and a hard place. If it faced the back there was no room for an air intake. If it pointed towards the front, it would interfere with the headers. My only option was on top and put the air intake towards the side.

Mocked up the fuel rails. I think the black looks great. I like the look. My car will be modern underneath and classic on the outside. This fits what I’m going for. To be honest I’d prefer an 8 Stack, but like I said, it’s 6 grand that I can spend elsewhere.

Thanks Mark I think so also, when I add a cold air intake it will look better.

My Have Found A Coyote Intake Solution

I don’t like the stock manifold. What’s important to me is drive by wire. I can’t do drive by wire any other way. Also, 8 stacks are like 6 grand.

My Have Found A Coyote Intake Solution

Hi Bob, It’s gonna be tight. I think the MKII gives you a “little” more room, but it’s going to be close. The air intake will go sideways so it wound cause any additional height.

So the new part came today and even though my motor is not going to have that classic look, I think I like how it’s coming along.

Yes, they could have made it lower into the valley. That would have helped. I think my best shot is to use this elbow that I found. It bolts up to the manifold as well as the stock coyote throttle body. I can face it towards the side and have the air intake to a vent.

My Have Found A Coyote Intake Solution

Ah, now I understand. No, there is actually very little useable space below the manifold.

My Have Found A Coyote Intake Solution

Yes it can be, but as you’ve stated, it creates problems and on some of the pictive seen, you need to cut a hole in the firewall and part of the air intake is in the cabin area. Maybe I can fine a picture. I think I’m going with an elbow off the top.
