I just got back from SEMA as well. It was a decent show this year, not as many booth babes as in the past ;( The SLC looked great! It was getting a lot of interest. The car was black and really low to the ground. The GTM got quite a bit of interest as well although I was disappointed at...

Crash, How many sets of tires do you expect to go through for the race?

    Battlecry..!!!!!

Does the SLC get much downforce from the diffuser? I don't recall seeing any underbody tunnels to feed it.

    Battlecry..!!!!!

Ryeno, I am really looking forward to the race but I have to agree with Fran that on track experience in the long haul is worth more than top speed. Remember, it is not a sprint race, the car has to race for 25 hours. I am sure there will be a lot of valuable lessons learned in 25 hours...

    SLC at 25?

Fran mentioned that we may see the race car at SEMA so that's got to be a good sign.

For serious connectors (at a serious price) look at Deutsch Autosport connectors. They are very good.

RCR SLC for sale (abandoned on the sidewalk???)

We said "first question" I meant the first one in the above post: Q: The kit cost from RCR is $44K what did you add to get to $80K? A: that is the basic package which is 50,000. i have the upgraded package along with two V8 engines. the package from them does not include any engine at all...

Will there be an SLC at SEMA this year?

Fran, I have no plans, yet. I am taking things one step at a time, and right now I am still getting the Ferrari motor back together and looking for another after-hours consulting gig to pay for the next step - unless you want to trade an SLC for some electronic/firmware design work ;)

Will there be an SLC at SEMA this year?

It looks like I will be there Thursday the 4th, I did not have a chance to see a finished car while at "the shop" so I am really looking forward to it.

    Torque wrench recommendation?

Looking at Team Torque, with a calibration fee ranging from $35 on up plus shipping both ways, it's probably less expensive to get a new wrench ( unless you have a Snap-On or similar).

    Torque wrench recommendation?

Thanks guys! I have a "clicky" one that I have had since high-school but I imagine the calibration is suspect by now. I will try to track down that article. As for the durability of F-cars? I have owned Italian cars for the last 25 years - it's clear I don't learn from my mistakes ;)

    Torque wrench recommendation?

I am rebuilding a Ferrari 360 drive-train in hopes of putting it an SLC and I am thinking an engine this nice deserves a better torque wrench than the one I have. Recommendations anyone?
