I am considering aluminum honeycomb sandwich panels for a project and am looking for suppliers in the USA. This is a personal project so low quantity. I am aware of Teklam ( TEKLAM Corp - Providing the Industry with Laminated Products ), anyone else?

John
I think they are here under the name Cima: Cima - Products - Automotive gearboxes
I don't know the connection between Gearfox and Cima but they look the same.
Thanks for the 458 reference! Knowing the price of other Ferrari gearboxes I know I can cross that off of my list ;) I knew it was a dual clutch - which is what I want. I would likely do the electronics myself.
This looks like an interesting unit - 7 speed dual clutch transmission for mid-engine applications. Handles up to 750 Nm of torque.
GETRAG Corporate Group - 7DCL750 TRANSMISSION
Anyone know if this is available?
Hey Matt,
Welcome to the forum! I have the opposite problem, I have the engineering knowledge to design a car but lack the artistic talent to design anything that looks good - maybe we collaborate

It's a modified SLC. There was a bunch of crap flying around about passing SVA or IVA or some such in the UK.
I wonder how it much it actually weighs with that interior, etc. Thinks it's still super-lite?
The car is loosely based on a heavily modified version of a kit car made by US outfit Race Car Replicas.
Loosely based on a heavily modified... sounds pretty vague. The comments are somewhat entertaining as well.

The complex exhaust routing is the reason I suggested a flat plane crank. There is a reason most race cars (and Ferrari's) run one. It makes exhaust routing much easier.
