Thanks Brian! Is there any advantage to one or the other?

I want to put four 44 idf webers on my 293 build. I have noticed that there are two different styles of intake for quad webers. One has a single coolant outlet that looks like it would house a thermostat and the other has two outlets. Im not sure what is the right intake for a gt40.

So...Jim would you run three main power wires from one battery to these three fuse boxes? Or run one wire inline to all three power points?

If I never plan on running my car on a race track do I even need a lsd transaxle?

Thanks Roger! That seems like a sensible way to make your main wire runs. I will definitely keep that in mind when I begin to map out my wire runs. I hope I don't have to do too much splicing into this harness.

I think I slowed the fall a little with my hand. It still hit the floor hard enough to put a slight bend in the rod bolt. I never in my wildest dreams would have thought that was possible from that little fall.

I was tapping the pistons out of the cylinders with a wood dowel rod and a dead blow. I had a head bolt on each side of the cylinder with a wire across it to stop the piston from falling to the floor. Only one problem, I moved the bolts to that cylinder but I forgot to put the wire back on. I...

Thanks for the replies. I think I will try to reuse the rods with new ARP bolts and the big end checked for roundness. Maybe I will have them magnafluxed too since I did drop the one piston and rod on the concrete.

Eagle rods are pretty tough to beat. I'm not ready to pour $700+ into connecting rods though. I was hoping to keep my pistons/rings and rods around $500 total. I'm not really building a monster race engine. I just want to get the car on the road without blowing my whole budget on the engine.

My buddy wants to sell me a 21 circuit wiring harness with fuse box from a hot rod project he never finished. Is a 21 circuit harness enough for a GT40? I will be running electric radiator fans of course, electric fuel pump, electric oil pump and possibly electric oil cooler fans.

The Porsche 996(911). I think it is a Aisin sp6 transmission. Maybe these are not worthy. I keep finding a lot of them on Ebay for a reasonable price. I plan on running a 302 with 350 or less hp.
