If I'm understanding the concept correctly the "U" profile EPDM is bonded around the edge of the windshield and then is bonded to the fiberglass flange? So the EPDM is sandwiched between the glass and the fiberglass? Any concerns about not having the glass bonded directly to the fiberglass...

Any idea if those are the stock seats? Except for the huge scoop I really like the rear clam design. Making the engine cover an integral part of the clam would make it much more rigid. Hmmm.....this gives me more ideas - excellent post Kyle! Dave L

Randy - Have you considered setting up a jig with a dremel to "surface" the back side of the flange to make it parallel to the front surface? Then you could use a router on the door flange set to the proper depth and set the door box into the flange. Dave L

Alex - Not exactly. The rear wall of the tank will still want to bulge under pressure and all of the force will be placed on whatever fasteners were used to attach the tank to that aluminum plate and to the firewall. I'm not sure that would be a good long-term solution. This is similar to...

Ruth - Unfortunately, I can't honestly answer your question. The only way we'd know for sure is if you pressurized the tank as mounted. If you want to test it I'm more than willing to send you all of the fittings and a pump - just let me know. Again, please accept my heartfelt apologies...
