    Real GT40s End Where?

If Lee Holman has the dies to stamp out chassis parts, are these dies just for stamping out MKII parts or MKL parts? I was told the MKII chassis is the same as the MKI, but has had sixty four modifications done to it to make it a MKII chassis. Are the dies different for the MKII?

    Windscreen - Cross Reference Guide

Bill, I believe Mr. White's fist name is Dan. I buy windshields from him. I know windshield shape fits original cars bur I could never keep straight what the other replica GT40 windshields fit. Dan hates to build shipping crates. To build a shipping crate is not easy and takes a bit of time.

Is it a kit car or replica?

Let me throw this into the mix! In 1965 I worked for a company that built race cars and we prepared race cars for drivers. We did most of Sam Posey's cars. I remember when Sam's McLaren MB1 arrived from McLaren Cars from the UK in a large plywood box. I was surprised to find in the box was a...

Front clip width with gulf flares?

Russ, I guess what I'm asking is, in '68 why would JW pick the MKI 289 to run with instead of the MKII 427. In '67 & '68 there was plenty of knowledge about wide wheels & tires from the CANAM cars. I know the MKII "B" model had a little wider tail, but nothing like the "Gulf" cars

Front clip width with gulf flares?

I've always wondered why they didn't put these super wide wheels, tires and "Gulf" style flares on all the MKII GT40's. I know the fenders on the nose of the MKII was changed, but why not the tail?

    Heritage Engineering T70 Spyder

Johan, What's the chassis number? I came close to buying a T70 back in the early '70's that belonged to a Denis Gilbert chassis 75/124. $ 6500.00 for everything he had; car triler and a new spare TRACO 327 engine. That's all, no other spares. It was an x Donohue car. All the SUNOCO decals were...

    Shoulder Harness Pass Through

Bill, you know you have a fire in the engine compartment when the shoulder belts become loose! Make sure the fit is tight around the belts where they come through the firwall, I had fire tickling the back of my neck as I blasted down the straight at Lime Rock Race track with an engine fire. I...
