All these liners are great for street driven cars, but race cars it's not so good ! If and when you crash and need some fiberglass repair, all that liner has to be removed to get a clean surface to stick new fiberglass to. I've spent hours removing liner material from the inside of fender wells...

Great to see a car I worked on and helped build a little bit, Sam Posey's Caldwell D7 out on the track. When you work in the pits, you only see the car go by and when it's stopped in the pits. Too bad the car never really became a winning design, but still played an important roll in the history...

I talked to George (Custom Metal Werks) last year and made him a GT40 dash panel. At that time, ge was still "hell bent" on producing GT40 chassis. He said he had some money and was "back in the game", but I haven't heard from him since. He never talked about John and I understand why!
