    S2's Build Thread

Scott, I ran through my collection of SLC hardware photos and it seems everybody has the radiator solid mounted to that front box(sorry to pick on you ;) ). I don't really use street driven cars as validation for soundness of an engineering design, specially SLCs which are driven lightly and...

    S2's Build Thread

Hey Scott, it's great fun following your 3D printing adventures, that's really cool stuff, I'll be pinging you for some advice at some point for a much more modest project I have in mind. I do have a cynical question I hope you'll entertain though. I see you're essentially bolting the bottom of...

Tilton 3 way Resevoir vs Wilwood Master Cylinder Hose Adapter

So apparently Wilwood is quite aware of how poorly engineered their reservoir connectors are and have introduced some products to remedy that. This is a part I tracked down that is used in one of their upgrade reservoir kits but I was only interested in upgrading the master connection which is...

Tilton 3 way Resevoir vs Wilwood Master Cylinder Hose Adapter

I've found a trick to mount a -3 AN nipple on the Wilwood masters. I can share details if anybody is interested.

    LBC Build Log - Apex

Hey Scott, just to rewind your thread a bit back to accessory drive... That alternator bracket you found is pretty cool, I've never seen it. Only downside to it that I see is that you don't get to take advantage of the side mounted 3rd bolt that the CTS-V setup has. If you already have an...

    LS and Transaxle mating guide?

I just read in your other thread that you're using the LS-1. Welcome to the sensible LS club! population 3  I don't know what your trans adapter looks like but if it looks anything like the G50 adapter you're going to want to do 1 of 2 things. a) get an LS-2+ rear main seal plate or...

    LS and Transaxle mating guide?

Sorry can't offer any personal experience there. But this thread might be worth a read if you're mix matching an RCR adapter with a Kennedy flywheel. http://www.gt40s.com/forum/slc-clubhouse/44297-pilot-bearing-engagment-issue-porsche-boxes.html

    Which G96 family?

    Scotts build thread

That's a bitchin Camaro Scott, we expect nothing less of you! Not to change the subject but Earl "Mitch" was just at my place for some SLC shop talk and we took some pictures of his Evora's tail lights in case you may find it useful.

    Graziano oil temp?

John B, are you running a trans cooler with your car? I'm wondering what your experience has been with trans temps on track. thanks

    Engine Pre-lube

I just looked at this the other day, that plug is right behind the alternator which will need to be removed. I plan on not dealing with that by pumping through the oil temp sender using one of these: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/atm-2277/overview/

    A.J.'s SL-C build thread

A.J. I seem to recall you wanting to do a lot of track work with this car. If it wasn't for the body mods you're thinking of the gel coat would be really hard to beat at the track. I can't think of anything better for that purpose.

    LSA SLC Build Log

I found the problem Bob, you're missing the clutch pedal ;) All kidding aside which master and slave cylinders are you using?

    New Superlite Cars web site

Great work on the site guys, that configurator really simplifies understanding the many options available! Quick comment though, I think we need an obvious way to navigate back to the main superlitecars.com page once in the configurator.

    Helmet to rollbar clearance

Ed and Terry thank you for your input! I read the rules for NASA and SCCA: NASA: https://nasa-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/document/document/282/2016.5.pdf SCCA: http://sports.racer.net/docs/rules/2002/sect_18_roll_cage_and_chassis_2002_gcr.pdf NASA has no minimum distance specified and SCCA...

    Helmet to rollbar clearance

What kind of clearance do you guys shoot for between your helmet and the rollbar? Is it better to be closer to the bar or farther? I'm mainly looking at the center overhead bar in the SLC at the moment. Thoughts? Good links on the subject?

That time just after you decide but before you know what you want

While we're on the subject of fiberglass, what do people like for epoxies to glue pieces together? For example gluing the headlight mounts to the front clam. Preferably something with good shelf life, I don't expect to use a lot of the stuff.

That time just after you decide but before you know what you want

Regarding cutting that last couple of millimeters in fiberglass, I've had great results using a standard dremel with a stone grinding head. Provides tons of control for creeping up on the line. Also (and credit to Allan) drum sander mounted on a drill.

    Ken's SLC build thread

Ken, you never seize to amaze me with the cool parts that you discover on the net! I think one of these would work great as the fuel filler hose transition piece. Your best find however IMO is the OEM idler pulley for PS.

    Scotts build thread

Hey Scott, any chance you could share some of the part #s or links for the 60mm projectors and HID setup you went with? I'd like to use them for the outside headlights on the SLC.
