    Wireless Steering Wheel Buttons

Very nice Hugo! I'm going to copy your design if you don't mind, I think it's an excellent solution. Less the CAN bus transcribing, I think that's a little over kill for what I'm doing.

    Wireless Steering Wheel Buttons

Frank, Hugo, very cool work. What is the source of these buttons you guys are using? I have not come across them. Hugo, what kind of hardware are you using on the receiving side of the wireless signals? Also any special code on that arduino to let you know the LiPo is running out of juice?

    Lets Talk Alternator - Again

Allan, are you using the idler pulley on the CTS-V bracket or skipping it? I'm having a hard time imagening this routing. I included a shot of my setup and it's awefully close even though my belt is angled higher. FYI when using the CTS-V bracket you must use one of the CTS-V alternators...

    Lets Talk Alternator - Again

Hey Dan, Just looking at Pete's picture I have a feeling you can't mix and match solutions. The location of the PS idler looks too low to me to allow you to use the CTS-V setup, you will most likely have clearance issues with the belt between water pump and idler.

    Scotts build thread

Scott, beautiful work with your headlights! Question, do those projectors do high beam as well or are you nixing the high beams? Also, what is the difference between "structural type mat" vs the normal weaved or chopped commonly available?

    SLC 24 Howard Jones

I assume you meant 35 ft/lbs not 35 PSI. Allan quotes the driveshaft shop as recommending 57ft/lbs for those bolts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXvSETWJUiQ I'd be curious to see what the porsche repair manual recommends, that would be a great data point. BTW, I really appreciate you...

    SLC 24 Howard Jones

Howard, what do you torque the axle bolts to? And which side came loose, transaxle or hub? thanks!

    Ken's SLC build thread

I'm not planning on using the dash. Glad to sell it to you.

    House hunter Mike

I saw that show too, it aired over the summer. Very nice build, the house that is. Quick clip of the SLC and the owner tinkering with it, had to pause/rewind a few times to really see it.

    SLC steering intermediate shaft question

I don't have a precise answer for you but I don't see anybody else offering one. The rack end of that U-joint is a female spline receiver roughly 1/2" in diameter, the other end is 3/4" double D as you've mentioned. I think you might find it easier to just fabricate a simple collapsable section...

    Over 300 SLC build pictures

thanks for sharing Dean. Question for you, where is that front tow strap bolted on to? Can't make it out in your pics

    LS oil pans?

I'm using the batwing (on an LS1) and the fit is great, low profile and plenty of clearance around it. It will cut down space for making the exhaust u-turn if you're planning to turn it around near the frame rails but was no issue for me with the LS7 headers. I'll most likely upgrade to the...

    Brake line leak

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, been monitoring it for a few days and it's dry. I unbolted the frame bracket which took the tension off and allowed the mating surfaces to square up, heated the joint a bit and then tightened the fitting. I bolted the bracket to the frame the next day...

    Brake line leak

Luke, I inspect all fittings for that sort of thing before I assemble but good suggestion. I'll try Alex's fix and report back. I just recalled that rear bracket was putting a bit of preload on the line to get it in the desired position. I'm going to try unbolting the bracket and tightening the...

    Brake line leak

I have a persistent leak at one of the hard line to bulk head adapter fittings in the rear. It's where the inverted flare of the hard line mates with the adapter to go to AN-3. I've got this thing cranked down as far as I dare and it still leaks a few drops a day just sitting there. Anybody have...

    Ken's SLC build thread

Eric, thanks for the tip on the Anti Oxidant, definitely picking up a tube of that: Ideal Noalox 0.5 oz. Anti-Oxidant Joint Compound-30-024 at The Home Depot Regarding alternators GM has made a design change for some of the later years. The new ones appear to be triggered by a PWM signal and...

    Ken's SLC build thread

Hey Ken, what is the advantage to running ground cables rather than letting the chassis be common ground? Nice crimper by the way!

    Accusump, Pedal Extension

Mike, How you wire up the electric valve can be a personal choice depending on your usage pattern. If you always start the engine right after turning on the ignition then you can wire directly to IGN. Personally I think there are plenty of times when you just turn the ign on for another reason...

Pilot bearing engagment issue for Porsche boxes

Thanks for sharing your experience Ted, always appreciated. If you were using the pilot with the exposed needle bearings then you had the old (or incorrect) version as well, there was a redesign prompted by a customer pointing out the issue. KEP's new design looks quite similar to your custom...
