Hey Dan, Just looking at Pete's picture I have a feeling you can't mix and match solutions. The location of the PS idler looks too low to me to allow you to use the CTS-V setup, you will most likely have clearance issues with the belt between water pump and idler.

I don't have a precise answer for you but I don't see anybody else offering one. The rack end of that U-joint is a female spline receiver roughly 1/2" in diameter, the other end is 3/4" double D as you've mentioned. I think you might find it easier to just fabricate a simple collapsable section...
