When i installed knock off wheels on my cobra replica i had to cut about 3/8 -1/2 off the stud to make the allen wrench fit , i used a cutoff wheel and ran a thread chaser over the studs after no need to press them out good luck Bob

Dan, my understanding is the 96 and up explorer 5.0 water pump is the one that came with the motor Robert uses, it is in 2003 ford racing book and say's: engine comes with Explorer short style timing cover and water pump, hope this helps Bob
