I managed to get a hold of what i was looking for. Now i am wondering what lucas switches are "standard" for a gt40 replica, what partnumbers should i look to use?

    Wiring diagram, any standards?

Hi, I am about to start planning the wiring loom for the car excluding the engine wiring that will be a separate loom directly from the engine management system. Any standard looms documented that i could use as a starting point and modify to get a complete picture? (Looms for gt40 replicas that is)

    FS EU 48 IDF manifold

I am interested. Where are you, and does the intake have provisions for a Good MAP sensor spot?

    Sound deadening or not?

Thanks all for the great replies. I have decided to implement Dynamat superlite in one layer around the cockpit, and then a thin isolatating foam mat for the tunnel, rear bulkhead, and front bulkhead. I will probably be using the golden heatshield you linked in there Howard, seems appropriate in...

    Sound deadening or not?

I have modified the bonnet to accept full depth of the radiator shroud, so all of the hot air will go out above the bonnet. Sure heat will still radiate from the aluminium sheets etc. So maybe some form of insulation is needed towards the front too.

    Sound deadening or not?

Btw. would the 48sq ft pack cover the cabin?

    Sound deadening or not?

good replies. I think i'll get atleast dynamat superlite one layer surrounding the cabin, then isolation to the firewall for heattransfer. Pipes in tunnel will be isolated with advanced material already, so not expecting much of a heattransfer from there.

    Sound deadening or not?

Hi, i am at the stage where i have started the paneling of the chassis. What are the experience from the people out there that have finished builds, does deadening the cockpit do any good, or is it wasted weight since the engine will be so loud anyway? Will coat the wheelarches with rubber on...

Wiper Arm for Lucas Wheel box

How the hell did you manage to connect the hoses to the spray nozzles for the windshield? It should be ridicoulusly tight between the wheelbox plate and the window frame where it pokes thru

Wiper Arm for Lucas Wheel box

Awaiting reply from Moss, all else has fell thru and everyone seems to only be able to supply the 13,5mm splined spindle. Might have to change wiper arm instead for a wedge lock model.

Wiper Arm for Lucas Wheel box

Moss have been contacted, awaiting reply. Unfortunately the catalogue doesn't list the size of the spindles, but it is a good way to see what type of wheelboxes there are atleast.

Wiper Arm for Lucas Wheel box

I know this post is old as the street, but still i am taking a long shot here as to try to find out how to find a wheelbox with 14,2mm splines (9/16") I got an push on arm from tex classics, but it is made for a 14,2mm spline, not the 13,5mm splint that seems to be standard today. Any pointer...

    Body dimensions/ basic CAD file

We had a 3D scanner at my previous employment, would have been nice to use now that the body is actually fitted. But oh well, maybe someone else actually have access to the right stuff and could help.

    Body dimensions/ basic CAD file

The bodyshell on grabcad are NOT accurate, unfortunately there isnt an accurate body out there in 3D. There is a real need for a proper scan i believe.

Wiper arm length, sweep and orientation

Hi, i am about to order parts to get the wiper installation going. I have measured that i have an area of 170-630mm that the wiper kan work on atleast, wich should result in a 400mm arm, and 450mm blade. But i still want to ask you other builders here what length combination you used, and more...

    MK IV tubular spaceframe drawing

I might have spotted a potential problem area (or it just isn't visible in the photos) The top ball joint in the front suspension upright is bolted directly to the upright. This will probably cause binding when suspension travels up (bump) Would need a raised surface or spacer underneath the...

How to mount the door striker plates?

I see, so the rounded side of the lock goes in against the springcharged wedge and then gets pushed out upon release. I have another locking mechanism, so i need to review the function Thanks Brian

How to mount the door striker plates?

Hi, i have bought Morrison striker plates and made my own pin on the lathe to fit the locking mechanism. Now i am wondering how to utilize the springreturned wedge(no better word for it?) It doesn't seem to be able to use it for making the car "pop" the door as initially though it should be used...
