Assuming you're referring to the gasket between the turbo and the exhaust manifold, you must have some very high backpressure in your manifold if you're blowing that gasket! Perhaps O-Ringing the flange & turbo would be a solution, or consider going to a larger A/R turbine housing?

Lance, just curious, why did you decide to keep the dissies and the OEM ignition system? I'd have thought you'd be using a crank triggered ignition with some COP's? Did you need to keep them because of your EMS? John

Cheers David, much appreciated. There was some speculation in some other hotrodding circles that the F1 teams had gone 100% to CD ignitions, however it would appear just the inverse is true.

Just curious what ignition technology is favored in F1 and other high end racing these days? Back around 2000 the F1 teams were pretty evenly split between capacitive discharge and inductive (transistor). Each has its strengths. Does anyone know what's being favored now?

Jim, I'm looking for something in the 2.8-2.9 range. HP will be no more than 600-650. Presently it's a 3.1333 ratio with a 220mm ring gear having 47 teeth and a 15 tooth pinion.
