Superformance GT40 on "How It's Made"

I had a chance to compare a SF GT40 and a CAV GT40 on display side by side 30 feet apart at the Cobra Bash in Reno in 2006. I went to both cars and was able to climb in to check fitting in the cockpit of each car. I went back and forth quite a bit to where it was finally up-setting the SF rep...

    Good deal?

The Holman Moody car went to extreme lengths in the build like getting the Boeing wiper motors from the air craft bone yard in Arizona and rebuilding them, had the same guy grind the cams to the same spec's on the same machine as they did originally, had the same technician come out of...

    Rearview mirror glue...suggestions?

I worked for Ford from 74 to 77 and installed hundreds of these tabs to windshields. The install kit was a Ford supplied part # kit at the time with a tube of glue to apply to the metal tab and an accelerator to the glass. Clean both surfaces, locate position for tab and make a mark on the...

Ford : Ford GT GT Light hit-salvage title

Buyer be ware! If an adjuster "totaled" it, there is a reason a $200,000.00 car was not repaired. Front frame/structure twisted, shoved back, or ?? Who knows? Should be showing a front lower shot with that lower plastic close out panel off. Or take it off and look before you buy it. Take you...

    SL-C in 1:12 scale

Making a bass wood buck would be possible, then being able to do a resign cast body off the buck in limited numbers. There are several cottage industry modelers around the country. Sticking to a comon scale would make avalible wheel and tires usable as well as existing engine and suspension parts.

    RBT-ZF Mystery part

Great that you found it! How did that "little Basturd" jump out of the cage? Photo shows some cage distortion. Did it get bumped by the out-put shaft when it was inserted?

    SL-C in 1:12 scale

There is a current 1/12 scale GT40 Mk II available as a glue kit as most of you know. That could be a source for drivetrain and suspension parts swapping as well as wheels and tires. The kit sells for around $180.00 on the net. Be care full on your choice of scale as most RC cars are 10th scale...

    My SPF at SEMA

Question; Where did the origin of the back-words side stripe with FORD at the rear of the stripe come from? I've seen a few late creations this way. Was there any European sponsored teams that ran them this way? I remember one of the model kit company's back in the late sixties released a model...
