Making a bass wood buck would be possible, then being able to do a resign cast body off the buck in limited numbers. There are several cottage industry modelers around the country. Sticking to a comon scale would make avalible wheel and tires usable as well as existing engine and suspension parts.

Great that you found it! How did that "little Basturd" jump out of the cage? Photo shows some cage distortion. Did it get bumped by the out-put shaft when it was inserted?

There is a current 1/12 scale GT40 Mk II available as a glue kit as most of you know. That could be a source for drivetrain and suspension parts swapping as well as wheels and tires. The kit sells for around $180.00 on the net. Be care full on your choice of scale as most RC cars are 10th scale...
