Thanks Cliff Kind of hi-lights peoples motives... One last question, I thought I read somewhere that Safir only had rights to build 20 (or so) cars in number sequence beyond 1107 (or 1108 - can't remember) which was the last MkIII. If that is the case, then did their "rights" not cease...

What did Safir buy when they bought the name "GT40"? Did they buy the right to build cars? Did the buy the intellectual property? Did they buy the global supply of the design drawings and rights to the shape? Did they buy the brand and merchandising rights????? What are we talking about here...

Re: Gt90 info thread The cheapest V12's around are probably Jag 5.3 but that would be no good in the emissions compliant Australian environment. As the car represents a 1990's design, it would probably have complience issues in other parts of the world too. This would make it a late model V12...

I had an ammeter to go in my dash but was discouraged by the thought of a large cable going from the battery out the back though the cabin and up to the dash. Decided the voltmeter was not only easier but gave the more relevant information.

I had posted a calculator on the forum about 4 years ago - HERE I think I upgraded it to show a heap of different ratios for the 2 main audi boxes that could be cut and pasted into the calculator. Being excel means you can add ratios to the file that suits your needs...... Just another...

I'd say that this shot was in Murwillumbah in northern NSW, just south of the state border. (Just type in McGuiness Funerals into google maps, it's amazing what you find...Although I'm wondering why you would want to stop in front of a funeral parlour???)

Truly terrifying stuff. I have some of my colleagues living in the area of Kinglake which has disappeared in the fires, still waiting to hear of their whereabouts.... Many carloads of people trying to escape got incinerated. So far 35+ dead...
