Its stated to have Civic components in the suspension. I don't think struts are on Fran's bucket list :) I also don't think a Civic's a-arm would tolerate the braking G's that his car generates. LOL

I'm with Fran on this one. If Ford couldn't justify re-designing the GT for new crash standards I can't see them getting enough return on marketing on anything other than the new Mustang. Ford is really pushing to make it a "world car" and to actually compete in the true sport sedan classes...

Any transaxle limitations like the GT40? Does just about anything go in this larger body? I'm starting my plans and need to figure out if I'm going light and quick or bigger HP?

There was/is a 3 rotor SLC listed on Ebay. Kind of cool for ideas, John, if your kicking the idea around.

But of course some of those 60's cars' wheels had sheet metal "splines" if you dare call them that. Others did have pin drive but not exactly the same thing as modern CL. LOL

Many guys who readily track their 997 Gt3's have "demoted" their cars to 5 studs. I "demoted" my GT2 to lug nuts from lug studs. Just cause its more trick, doesn't mean better or more handy. (GT3 CL are not the same CL as race cars). Makes me laugh inside when I see the guys using brake...
