    Porsche 911 GT1

Well speaking with a 993 GT1 body of course...I would still venture to call it a RCR GT1 Revival.

    Porsche 911 GT1

There is no reason with an SLC chassis, 996tt motor breathed on and a spartan interior why this cannot be built for less than $85k, very basic of course. I for one would love to see Fran put this one on the books. Might even take the place of a 917 in the stable.

Fran, will this car be able to handle a 19x14" 29" tall rear tire? Just wondering if we'll be able to have some massive rear meats as that is what really gets me going on one of these things. That is the same size I had on the K3 345/35/19 Pirelli Corsa R Comp - would look hot on this car.

Haha, you'll have to wait and see - but lets just say that it will blow my old 935 K3 out of the water in every way. When we start the build, i'll be sure to keep everyone posted.

Why was the 917 so revolutionary?

Just to bring this one back up as its soooo worth talking about... The killer thing about the 917 is that it was faster than F1 cars of the time and set records that took formula cars 12 years to break... Drivers were expendable...victory at all costs. IMHO its something we need to get back...

Ok I am kind of pumped about this.

Amen - as a soon to be 917 owner, what would be cooler than to have this in reach of all the gear heads of SoCal & in my backyard!

Ok I am kind of pumped about this.

I live in Vegas - and all I have to say is if they go about 55 minutes outside town you can be in the mountains and have some serious fun if the guys with the gigantic budgets show up to move all the dirt. We're talking tons of trees, cold weather in the winter - outside Vegas isn't just dirt...

A few saftey and licness plate(s) questions

On the belts get the Schroth Profi III, they're worth the money and super comfy. They have adjustments on the lap and shoulder belts. If the person will fit in the seat they can loosen or tighten the harness as needed in seconds. Not to mention if you're in a car with a roll cage, a 6 point...

    Getting her home. Transport recommendations

Intercity Lines has taken my old 935 from coast to coast and Houston to NC a few times. LA to NC at $1,440 - can't beat that not to mention they handle the Factory Porsche collection when it comes to the US. Best out there IMHO.
