Neville, good to see/hear you're still about and caring for your 40. Just so you know you're not alone, I found the headlights to be as Ian stated....useless on mine also. Pat's suggestion(s) are always worth looking into. Good Luck. Give me a ring sometime so we can catch up.

    GT40 ground clearance problems

Mike, unsure where you found this vid but BIG kudos for posting. Like John said so beautifully, words fail me! Some of these cars should be in art galleries as they represent thinking most of us would never come up with. Kind of like RAT RODS. Your eyes just can't comprehend what you're...

    016 spider gear blown

Try this Rodolfo. Hopefully this will guide you in some way. I wish you were in the US because I still have the 016 and a clutch for the O1E. http://www.gt40s.com/forum/gt40-tech-powertrain-transaxles/45533-016-01e.html

    Perspective

These fabulous cars (40's, 917's, P4's T 70's etc,) make me feel just that much more joy at being 5'8" with my heels on! I can't tell you how many (tall) folks told me they would love to feel the passion of driving a GT40 but they knew they wouldn't fit due to their height or err, width. +1...

    Might someone know this car?

Regardless of history, this is a great read. Let us know what Dad says.

    from Western NC...

Welcome Tray. Like you I owned a heavily modded Gen 3 RX 7 and sold it to help purchase my first CAV GT 40. Never got to the 3 rotor stage but I know that is one fantastic sounding engine. Sadly the GT 40 has been sold after over 6 years of ownership so I can tell you first hand there is a...

Bryan, two CAV MK 11'S you say? Didn't know CAV made a MK II version. Would love to see photos.

Said it before Jim and I'll say it again, your car is a stunning piece of workmanship and a true sign of your immense talent. Still wondering what it would take to pry it away from you though just in case I win the lottery!
