    Steering rack Mk II

I just stopped by RCR this morning. They are assembling racks as fast as they can given the shortage of available skilled technicians. Fran showed me the parts all binned up and ready to work on. Should not be too much longer. He did mention that it is really important to mount the main box...

    Randy's RCR40 MKI

Chris, I am using a strap to hold my suspension at ride height, which for now is when the LCAs are parallel to the ground. I am finding that at 5.5^ caster, no camber, and the LCA with one fwd washer that the tires hit the fuel tank access plates so moving it back does not seem like an option...

RCR E Brake for 15 in wheels

I wonder if RCR shipped me the 15” caliper brackets. I installed what ever they sent, but have not tried to mount the tires. Something to worry about while on the road for the next three or four weeks :-(

MKII handbrake cable routing to brake pedal

I can’t remember the source, but it is my understanding that the hand brakes were not intended to be functional. They were only installed to meet requirements much like the spare tire.

    Another EFI IDA 'Weber' thread...!

Stephen, I would be willing to pay for a how-to guide, parts list and STL files. I have a 351w/427 in my Cobra and a 302/363 in my GT40. DM me if that is an option. Cheers, Randy

    Exhaust question

David, I might be interested. I have pipes from RCR. I am concerned that they may not play well with the rear clip. I think it is pipe D3 that goes up and over. I also need mufflers. I’ll be at the reunion next weekend. Cheers, Randy

    Randy's RCR40 MKI

Roll Bar First let thank John Howard for his guidance and welding expertise. It was nice to spend the day in his shop assembling the roll bar pieces into a cohesive unit. Because he was careful about managing heat, the unit dropped right into place when I bought it back home I am doing a...

    Randy's RCR40 MKI

I have mostly been working on the fuel tanks and roll bar the past couple of weeks. Progress has been slow as I figured out things out. Fuel Tanks The fuel tanks have been sent out for welding. I cut out the top of the aft recess. I left about a 1/2” lip around the perimeter. Before After...

    GT40 Race

Seems like a lot of opinions are being thrown about on what might be required. It would be a lot easier if the organizers would simply post links to the reverent regs for each event where those interested can find them. Along with all the waiver forms etc. I would be seriously pissed if I hauled...

    ZF bellhousing and flywheel/clutch options

Louis, Looks you have an RCR. The online manual has a section that shows the RCR recess panel installation. Unfortunately, RCR no longer provides the panel because many of today’s builders use reduced size bell housings and compact starters like those available from Safir. You might be able to...

    Harness Installation RCR40

Another question: how much clearance do I need between the bulkhead and crossbar to slip the belt through? I would like to mount the crossbar as close as possible to the bulkhead and still be able to pass the typical belt through. The current gap is 5/8” which seems to be much more than...

David G 69 Gulf SPF build begins.

David, did you send the exhaust to Jet Hot. I asked a few different vendors how they coat the inside. The only one that would not tell me was Jet Hot. Claimed it was a trade secret. The others all said they cap the ends and swirl. That is also how Ceracoat recommends. It’s certainly a lot less...
