New car advice, bad ass 4 door...

Brian, not sure of what is available in the states, but if I was looking to fork out $30K on a second hand car with four doors and a manual gearbox there would be only a few options. Merc E class or even S class, Jaguar XJ, Big General motors car (big for UK) we have the Vauxhall VXR8 which is a...

    Now THAT'S what I call a garage!

Grady, with all that automotive porn, nothing is hanging ;-) As Clarkson would say, just off to the bathroom for a minute. When I get round to it and properly waterproof my garage I will put up archive photos of the race cars and a tin advert I recently bought, plus a few shots of my own cars...

Ron. I bet you will have a new truck in 2012!

That's not a truck. It's an Enterprise starship on wheels! I note it's powered on Hydrogen so warp factor 8 shouldn't be a problem.

Someone flew a small plane into the IRS bldg in Austin, TX.

several years ago a farmer in the UK had a run in with his local government office over something. The English way however was to go along with his muck spreader and spray the offices of said government in protest (or should that be in manure). No one got hurt but he did get national coverage...

Hi from the Isle of Wight

Sounds fun, but I'm not sure I can make it this year, itinerary already full with little time for GT trips anywhere. Already have several trips booked (sans 40) and looking to do some track days, just not enough holidays per year these days, need to win the lottery and retire!

Hi from the Isle of Wight

Do you think the IOW is ready for that sort of invasion? They are, after all a very reserved people and having several 40s screaming through their little villages might cause some upset - when do we go? (evil laugh)

Hi from the Isle of Wight

Gary, may I add my welcome too. Love the IOW and try to visit every couple of years just to get my hit of 50s / 60s nostalgia. Not taken my 40 over yet, that could be fun although I would hardly get into second before hitting the opposite coast!

Welcome Dave, that's a lot of power for a front engined, rear wheel drive widowmaker. Make that switch to mid engine and a roof, reduces your laundry bill

trauma- gt40 in italy. anyone of us maybe?

Unless Toni has changed his decals the number on the rear clip is on the wrong side. It could be the MDA red car from the 2007 Exeter kit car show photos posted on this site. I think that car did go abroad, possibly to Spain. It is a MK1 and red so could fit the bill. I don't know who it was...

Trev, it looks good, I notice the walls are painted white too and that makes a difference. If you are working over the winter, then you might need a heater too!
