3D Model - Reference car near Seattle?

Kevin! This is amazing, your renders are very next level. I've started modeling a chassis/suspension/interior as well, and will share that out as well. I think soon we can start working on the body variant options. Then we can build an amazing web configurator for swapping colors/ race tail /...

    S2's Build Thread

I look forward to seeing it built, that definitely sounds like a stout wing support! I've always been intrigued by the active aero/braking setups on the Porsche turbos and McLaren P1 etc... I would love to have one that can be lowered into the body, but had no look finding the actuators from an...

That active wing looks trick Scott. How much downforce do you need to design in to your brace? Is it more than a normal wing since this one can do air braking?

    Help! Throttle position sensor error

Have you had any heat issues? """ The primary reason why this part fails is due to exposure to high heat, as it's typically located on the floorboard next to the firewall of the vehicle, in very close proximity to the engine. """

    Design An Emblem?

Ha, thanks Mesa, I guess everyone wins. I get my heraldic lions, we get some made in the USA love, and Fran gets to rep Detroit. Also, I was not aware of the Detroit flag before you mentioned it! I think that if we keep the badge Two tone, gold and black OR silver and black I can work with...

3D Model - Reference car near Seattle?

Once I get further along, I can prep some files for 3d print. I have a custom built 3d printer at home and my office has a whole array of 3d printers. Since I'll prep them for my own printing, I can also send those out and put them on thingiverse

    Design An Emblem?

I like where your heading Mesa with the light and bird like theme. Also, I'll take a look at the Michigan flag, for the made in detroit angle. Perhaps I could add "Motor City" somewhere? I'll explore the wings motif and birds, I'm trying to stay away from the GO USA motif of stripes and stars...

    Design An Emblem?

I like the top one Pete B. Did you envision this on a front side fender or as a hood emblem? I see your emphasizing the stars and stripes angle with checker flag, kind of like the corvette emblems. I'll have to come up with some more meaty symbols instead of a lion :)

3D Model - Reference car near Seattle?

@Kevin: Thanks so much for the compliments, as my industrial design teacher said, if you can't make it pretty, make it big, make it shiny, and paint it red! LOL There's a whole lot of things to fix, but seeing your model progress is inspiring me! What do you guys think about this badge? It's...

    Design An Emblem?

Hi Del, Glad you started the thread! You inspired me to work on a badge through late last night! What do you guys think? It's inspired by the "Shield" style emblems. I spent 2 hours picking out the dang fonts. Still needs some work, but the render came out pretty sick!

3D Model - Reference car near Seattle?

Hello Del, The badge is a gold/black enamel badge that is just a stand in, I haven't created the graphics for a final badge yet. I've always felt the SLC nose looks like a blank canvas and needs a little branding love.
