Running engine with no rear wheels or suspension etc.

Take te cv's and axles off. I ran on idle my GTM (successfully) with wheels on but... The oil friction in the transaxle caused the wheels to rotate. I applied the e brake and wheel rotation stopped, all was good. I believe your axles would try to rotate but no real power transmission unless...

Your intake routing is similar to mine. What ID is that flex tubing? I will be using the area to the left side of the fuel tank (typically where fuel filters go) as my air filter chamber. I'll show pics when I can get out to the workshop again.

    C8 Corvette Transaxle

A Porsche G96 gearbox weighs approximately 175 lbs according to the CMS website. Does the new Vette twin clutch really weigh in the neighborhood of 675lbs? If the twin clutch came in at 300lbs you would only be gaining 125lbs.

    SLC Hubs/ race worthy

I stand corrected. The Strano adaptor is steel. A magnet sticks to mine as well.

    SLC Hubs/ race worthy

Stranos adaptors are aluminum whereas the Dulaney's are steel. Edit: Both Stranos and Dulaney are steel. See below for apology.

    SLC Hubs/ race worthy

Chris. See post 242 of this thread. I drilled and tapped my Stranos for 7/16 coarse. Yes I switched to the Dulaney so I have a set of Strano's if anyone needs a set.

    SLC Hubs/ race worthy

For the front and at first I ordered the Strano adaptors and c6 X Tracker (30 spline with passive sensor). I wanted the passive sensor because I may incorporate traction control in the future. I have since switched to the Dulaney adaptor because it is a steel unit rather than aluminum. I was...

    SLC Hubs/ race worthy

The holes in the upright were machined to the new bolt circle of 4.567” (see post 210). Then the holes on the inside of the upright were counter bored .560” deep x .720” diameter for clearance. I also had a 4.065” x 45 degree chamfer on the inside for clearance to accept the new stub shafts from...

    SLC Hubs/ race worthy

In post 183 and 188 of this thread Ken shows having a “steel bushing” pressed into the upright to maintain “hub centric”. As Ken says this is because the C7 X Tracker hub is 3.593” where the hub slip fits into the upright. The upright diameter on the C4 hub is 3.620”. A .027” difference. So...
